1 ★The app suggests the same pro's over and over (I live in a metropolitan area that should offer more competitors), including from searching pros as their reply suggests. Nothing ingenius here that a simple business Google search couldnt take care of. This app, along with HomeAdvisor & Thumbtack are a waste of time and energy.
2 ★It shows the same 3 pros!!!! I can't see all the local plumbers. Will be using thumbtack, this is ridiculous. The pros they show have not replied back, but can't see other plumbers!! Absolutely ridiculous. I dont want to see the highest bidder for Angie's list. They keep showing me a company thats not local and charges $95 travel fee.
5 ★Great! I needed help with a project and it was provided the same day!
3 ★The service is good however, the app and website requires a password stronger than my bank or credit card services do. That is ridiculous! I can't use a normal password and so can't recall it half the time I want to use it. Too much hassle, canceling my paid membership, can't for the life of me I understand why I need a 10 letter password and special characters too.
2 ★Definitely streamlined my search. However, I didn't realize that when I thought I was just signing up, all my info would be immediately given out. Within minutes of (what I thought was) just searching for movers, my phone blew up with calls and texts from companies. Would have preferred a little more control over that or at least a warning.
1 ★It's been a while since I've tried the app. This has changed to request your project and takes 3+ screens to describe your project before seeing potential providers, and you have to list your project, location, and how soon you want service. All I want is a list of potential providers for me to screen from the site and reviews. Like others, I've found the website way more useful. This app does not serve me in any positive way and should be redone.
1 ★"Something Went Wrong, Try Again". That's what I kept getting when I was just trying to create an account. The password length and characters was correct. The email was correct. But kept getting the same error msg over and over again. Gave up, uninstalled. Guess the previous person who posted the same issue wasn't mistaken.
5 ★Exceptional experience! Used phone book and two other apps to try to get my work done for two weeks. First service provider on Angie's list, told me I needed a handyman instead of an electrician or appliance installer. Duh! 6 hours later, I'm completely satisfied! Thank you Angie's List for having quality service providers who are responsive, knowledgeable and courteous!
2 ★This app has been totally useless. every time I try to create a project to see matched service provider....I get "something went wrong...try again". multiple times and multiple days. cant save....so starting over every time I want to try. Hopefully not indicative of the service itself when I dig out my laptop to try a full browser.
4 ★I read a number of the reviews before I used this app and I can definitely see how folks are initially guided into RFQ hell. From the start it asks "what your working on", wants to know where and who to contact, then the flood of calls and texts. Rather, what most folks want is to browse your directory and find rated professionals, not get called by random sales people/robots. I'm not sure what metric is driving that feature but it needs work, please get your UX folks these comments.
1 ★i wish i could give zero stars. once you sign up for this app and put in your phone # etc, there's no way of removing your info from circulation. The app and website provide no way out. Ive tried all means of contact with no response. i still recieve phone calls and emails from them with no way of stopping it. The "manage account" doesnt work to stop the calls and offers no way to remove info. The site suggests you can go to the bottom of the emails and click "unsubscribe" but its not there.
2 ★This isn't as useful as the website, especially if you are a subscriber. This only allows you to "search for pros" with a specific project in mind, rather than pulling up a list of pros by project type. Basically, this forces you to send out your contact info and have the "pros" call you rather than the other way around. Which is almost never what I want.
