Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★Great app especially when you cannot get through to a doctor this gets you in contact if it feels you need it
4 ★An easy to use service. I injured my foot in a fall and used this to determine what my course of action should be. While it is slightly slow and sometimes crashes, the basis of it works and I got my answer. The questions were at times a little bit sketchy, but that was primarily because the question answer I was looking for was detailed in a later question. Would rate higher if it was less janky and worked a little better.
5 ★Easy app to use. Asked lots of questions & someone called within a few hours. And had an appt that day. This app will be the way forward....
1 ★Useless- just collects and sells your data. The app doesn't actually do anything or add any value that you can't do through a browser. It doesn't show my appointments, doesn't let me contact anyone or request anything, and Olivia (the virtual assistant) is slow, useless, and pretty patronizing. Unfortunately, without a lot of added functionality, this is not the answer to the NHS "digital revolution".
3 ★A great service but does not work well on my phone. I can fill out right up to the question, "Would you like me to book an appointment?" but no button appears. I've uninstalled and reloaded 3 times, to no avail. Worked on my husband's phone (same phone as me) and I got a next day appointment.
1 ★This is genuinely shocking. The voice synth is from the 80's,the animation is poor. Despite registering me, it doesnt find my GP practice so is useless for booking appointments. Forget getting any actual help, you'll need to call 111 and if its more of a query you're better off calling your GP to make an appointment because this can't do anything for you
4 ★Good app, much more helpful than waiting 35mins to talk to an unhelpful receptionist
5 ★Lucky to have access to health facilities such as this app especially in the world we live in. App will be upgraded continuously in the years to come, so for now, I'm happy with the current Ask NHS app. Used the app a few times over the past few years and have been happy so far. Keep up the good work NHS staff, great app, great service, thanks....
2 ★I described my symptoms in some detail but, worryingly, the software simply picked out just two words from my descriptive text - 'pain' and 'back' - then it asked me questions assuming that I had back pain. There was no option given to me to go back to correct this interpretation error by your software. In fact, I had described a sharp pain just under my shoulder blade, towards my back ! In my layman's thinking this indicated that I was suffering from a heart or lung problem !. Please can you rewrite your program to take a detailed analysis of the patient's symptom description. This would prevent urgent medical needs being overlooked.
3 ★Pretty useful and helping me get in contact with my GP but the AI lady is horrible. I understand you need the voice for those hard of hearing but her appearance is incredibly uncanny and off-putting and I don't see why she's there. I don't think it adds a "human touch" as intended and almost made me leave the app! That aside the app serves a purpose well.
1 ★I am now required to use this app to book an appointment in lieu of phoning. The app has no means of booking appointments except to provide the practice phone number. Then no one answers the phone. Is this a patient number reduction strategy, or are you all just really not ready to implement this? This is the third? fourth? app Lewisham has told me to download in the past two years and none have been useful. Also, please update to make it possible to turn off the creepy face. Thank you.
3 ★i only used the symptom checker. it's good but lacks vocabulary. i had to try several times before getting somewhere: i.e. i had to go down the route of skin problems when i knew this was not a skin problem but a circulation related issue. after a few questions it branched out to the correct area but i could not get it to start directly from the correct body area.
