1 ★Nothing says "we care" like a paywall. Sure they offer a seven day free trial, but you have to put in your billing information to use it. Given that people with depression already struggle with memory issues, trying to hit them with a $90 yearly subscription charge on day 8 is just predatory.
1 ★Edit: wow you really monetized every actually helpful feature. There goes that, thanks for nothing. Such a nice way of reflecting on your mood and getting some insight or eventually changing it for the better. I love the different features and that it imitates a conversation. Also as a psychology student really cool to read some things that i already actually learned about!
4 ★Appreciate the expanded content and developers quick response and help. Miss the quick access to chatbot/feelings mode but glad the feature is still there. Am finding the Pinterest style photo montage of self help sessions hard to navigate and visualy cluttered. Chat tab was simpler, friendlier and easier to be emotionally in tune and honest. I wish the photos weren't there and it was plain text or illustrations. Don't really relate to selfhelp guru blogger aesthetic 😬. Neutral is better imo.
2 ★It's disappointing that this app went from the greatest therapy app I used to the worst... I can't pay for a subscription, so the only thing I'm allowed to do now is just say what I'm feeling without getting any help. It used to be so easy to talk about the feeling and solve it with youper but now, I can't.
2 ★This app used to be the best, now it's trying to be too much. The menus are extremely laggy to scroll through and there's far too many options. Why isn't there a "just talk" option? That was the whole point of the app before - an AI you could chat to and get recommendations from. Now you have to pick from the overwhelming options (difficult if you're coming to the app for help or when you're not feeling good!) and get a tiny short conversation, making it a glorified menu system. So disappointed.
2 ★I have used this app for over 2 years. The new update has a lot of lag time and almost everything is behind a paywall, including features that weren't originally until a few days ago. The new update erased all past information I had put into the app and I am no longer able to see my past progress anymore. If you are going to pay for premium and are okay with lag times then the update is probably fine and helpful. I, unfortunately, will have to find another mood tracking app that works for me.
2 ★This app was one of the best apps I had ever used in my life. Note the past tense. After the update, the app became cluttered and difficult to navigate. I liked when it was just a few tabs: one to talk, another to check past chats, another for tracking disorders, another for personality. I cant remember if there were anymore. That was such a clean, easy to use interface. The new tabs where you can choose what activity to do was much better when chosen during your chats with the ai.
3 ★App is a bit broken since the update. At first it would only show unclickable month headings under sessions and now its loading but is extremely slow. If I try to go to the other tabs after going to insights, they don't load. I'd like to maybe see an option to open the app directly to the "I'm feeling..." like how it was before. I can appreciate the expansion of the app but I'm not sure I'm a fan of the implementation.
2 ★The new update completely ruined the app. Cluttered UI, bad UX, slow loading between pages, some sections of the app don't even load at all, and things are hard to find. I've used this app for over two years, and it's a real shame the developers decided to go in this direction. I have quite a bit of experience in QA and application testing, and I am baffled that this update got approved for rollout. Look elsewhere for a different app, I can't recommend this one at all.
3 ★I miss the old version and wish I could revert back. There should be a function in settings to remove updates if you don't want it. It felt more personal having the AI chat to you instantly instead of stock images being the first thing you see. I understand this works for some, but the images slow down the app and is overwhelming, it looks corporate and has the words anxiety, depression driven into you, even if you want to talk about feelings that make you happy.
2 ★I hate the new changes. This app used to be so amazing and helped me so much, the natural conversational intro to talking about feelings in those hard moments is gone. Now it's just an impersonal menu of things to choose from and even the conversational aspect that is there doesn't feel the same. Please at least include an option to use the Old style Youper. And no the "I'm feeling..." option is not the same. Really disappointed.
2 ★I loved this app as it originally was. You could just talk to the AI and it would offer things. But you didn't need to do them. There was a wider variety of exercises. I feel like the price went up and the value went down. I dont like the new set up of the mindfulness exercises. They feel rushed to me. I dont have a chance to resonate with what's being said. Bossy narrator. I just wanna do the exercise please. I paid for the month. I wasn't aloud to see the new changes without paying....
