A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★So many bad design choices here, where do I even start? Why the hell is the status bar hidden? Even then, you don't even care enough to add notch support? Why is dark mode locked behind the number of people you could get to sign up for the app? Why is there no forms of moderation to what people post? Most posts are just students complaining about everyday's things. There's the school confessions fb page for that.
1 ★Absolute trash and a waste of my time. The app itself is designed well and is user friendly, but it needs moderators. I'm sick of getting alerts on my phone of students gossiping about how much they hate the cafeteria food. It's annoying and will not make me care about majority of alerts so I'm deleting it. If it's not an emergency, don't alert me about it. Just trash.
3 ★The app doesn't always load properly. It is a relatively easy to navigate app. I was notified that the app was created to alert public in a given area. However, typically used for memes and gossip.
5 ★perfect platform for staying on top of updates for college. Also, the support team for the app is more responsive to problems and feedback than any other platform I've used till date, for any purpose!
3 ★App- sans glitches- is good. worked fine, but now it just freezes... Update: Even with the update the app opens, freezes, and then force shuts down. After completly uninstalling the app and reinstalling it seems to be working okay.
3 ★Provides important news quickly. I still suggest improvement for the UI design since it's hard to navigate for many. It's difficult to filter the news into desired categories. Plus the verification code time is short for registration
5 ★Wildfire is really good for campus updates in real time, and it's nifty that a post with enough interaction also gets sent as an email. Official campus emails about emergencies usually take some time before getting sent out, don't include pictures, and often don't include the more smaller scale potential threats. Other than that, it's good for the laughs and memes that pass through, and it just feels like a cool little gathering for the student community. Neat app! 😄🔥
5 ★I don't write reviews for most apps but this app is something I feel like every person needs, like insurance. You never know when a mugging could be on the exact block you're walking down, but Wildfire told me about exactly that the other night.
3 ★The logistics of the app is nice but the pay off is severely lacking. The app constantly freezes and lags. I'm currently unable to log in and uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail.
4 ★This app is sort of a cross between Reddit and Yik Yak. It's actually been pretty useful for receiving important alerts about situations on campus. There was recently a glitch in the app, but they were able to fix it promptly. When I reached out to customer support, they were very professional.
1 ★I've spent a lot of time on this app because it has an incredible community at UC Davis, but the developers are terrible, and now that they have decided to remove the ability direct message people, essentially removing the ability to make friends with the app, I can no longer recommend it. These devs clearly have no understanding of why people use their app and saying "budget" is the reason for removing this key feature is ridiculous, theyre trying to free server space but there are better ways.
4 ★Really useful app as it allows communication for students that share information from recommending classes to warning each other about traffic on campus. In addition, it's a great way to gain help or advice from other student.
