Compatibility:
-This app requires Android 5.0 or higher. We recommend using Android 8.0 and higher to take advantage of all the app features.

App Features:
- Buy tickets for Local, Premium or Commuter services. Eligible customers can also purchase MetroAccess and Reduced Fares.
- Trip Planner feature plans a customized itinerary based on your starting and ending locations. Save favorite trips for easier planning.
- Schedules available for all routes in the system.
- Route Maps viewable by service and route number.
- Next Departure features allows you to find the next bus near your location.

If you use a Reduced Fare ID Card, you must first visit the Capital Metro Transit Store (located in downtown Austin at 209 West Lavaca, open Monday – Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm) to have a Capital Metro representative activate the reduced fare purchasing option on the app.

If you are a MetroAccess customer, you can register to purchase MetroAccess passes on the app by calling MetroAccess at 512-369-6067. Please have your client ID number available and email address used to register your account.

3 ★Is great when it works. Sometimes my virtual tickets just lock up and I can't access them causing me to miss my bus and be late to work. Customer service was very helpful and able to give me a solution/work around the problem (which they said is pretty common, so how about a fix already? But whatever) even with the "work around" it still takes enough time that you would most likely miss your bus unless the driver is cool/understanding.
4 ★After the update I had to uninstall and reinstall then sign back in to get my tickets to show up. I think this is a good direction for the app but jeeeeeeez what a bad roll out. Maybe force a cache clear or sign in because I couldn't access my tickets this morning and I was like plz ticket person don't get on the train.
2 ★Latest version is showing quite a few issues for me. Slow to load, purchased tickets not loading at all, purchase screen never updated. And the app no longer shows bus schedules, it only lets you plan a trip, it was useful to be able to see the schedules without having to plan an actual trip.
1 ★New update is worse than the app use to be! Charged me twice for a weekly pass, and neither pass shows up on the app. I have 2 receipts in my email, and can't access even 1 pass, so I'm going to have to pay out of pocket until this gets resolved. That's, very inconvenient, and honestly, utterly ridiculous!
1 ★App auto updated and now won't load tickets. Don't you QA your releases so this doesn't happen. Now I will have to contact support and spend time on something I shouldn't have to worry about. The "live map" is really just simulated schedules.
3 ★I I enjoy cap net. However, they're extremely rude never answer you questions passed you up leave you on hold and they're retaliating to leave you waiting for more than 5 hours for the rides to return or know what to do. This is dangerous for a lot of the patrons because we are disabled, blind, deaf. We need the services we need to help how rude and cruel of dispatch. I will be sending a letter to Governor, City, County, chain of command with Capital Metro. Specifically eligibility. Be kind
1 ★App was functioning adequately before update. My day pass purchase has been removed prior to 24 hour expiration. Can't seem to purchase another one, asking drivers about app and they are all (predictably) clueless. Uninstalling these ineffective updates to previous version to restore functionality.
2 ★Incredibly difficult to use. Every time I have to switch busses I loose the trip that I'm on after going I to my tickets. If you could activate one route as the one you're currently on it would be much better than having to go back through the schedule trying to find the same one
2 ★They just pushed an update that erased a ticket I already bought and, because it wouldn't load so I could buy a new one, made me miss my bus to work. Nice. Restarting the app and my phone didn't work.
5 ★I have a Pixel 2. While visiting Austin for a few days, I bought and used some tickets from and to the airport and some other places. The app worked fine for this and I didn't experience any issues.
2 ★Half the time it can't connect to my location unless I close the program and reopen it. then it gave the wrong times for the route. It thought it was 7 at night when it was actually 3 in the afternoon. very frustrated with a major cities best effort at web service for buses.
1 ★I can't believe cap metro is still in business. Buses are concictenly late. Drivers are rude they will yell and scream at riders then when asked for there name will close the door and drive away as quick as possible so they can't be reported. It's also convenient cap metro outsources there drivers to MV Transportation, so if you complain to cap metro they don't have to take responsibility.
