AudioBT is an application that unleashes the power of your in-car handsfree Bluetooth (BT) system or mono earpiece. It allows you to hear audio messages such as GPS turn-by-turn directions from Google Navigation, or SMS/texting application messages while you are listening to your regular radio station or music through your car stereo. This application temporarily routes audio messages from other applications to the Bluetooth incoming call audio channel, just like when an incoming call rings, interrupting your in-car audio momentarily. When the audio message is done playing, the system can return to its previous state.
Using the SCO proile instead of the A2DP profile for audio messages makes it possible to hear your messages while listening to any audio source in your car. It also works with any other Bluetooth headset device.
Works with Google Maps, Waze, Here Maps, Tomtom, Sygic, etc...
Equivalent to the "Play as Bluetooth phone call" option on iOS.
To use it, just start the AudioBT service and leave it running while using your regular GPS application.
Enable the notification feature to hear notification from text applications (KitKat or above required).
Features:
-Instantly turn on the incoming call channel when an application requests audio and turn it off after.
-Embedded Xposed module allows setting of an audio delay to prevent clipping.
-Tasker service intents are available for use in Tasker scripts.
Known limitations:
-The first part of audio is cut. This can be prevented by using the included Xposed module (Audio delay setting)
-This application will prevent other audio apps like the Music player from playing. For listening to Music on your headset, download BTMono instead.
-Free version will stop routing audio after 5 messages.
-Free version will not read text content of notifications.
-Requires Android 4.0 and higher.

2 ★I have a note III Verizon and found only 2 apps capable of doing this. BTaudio and SoundAbout. Admittedly having problems with both. I've read that Android 4.4.2 has some issues with blutetooh, so It's hard to rate when not fully working. If this app can successfully transmit driving instructions from Google Maps and / or audio as a phone call to car stereo without chopping anything off, I'd rate it a 5. However, as of now, it CAN NOT. Hopefully it will soon?
4 ★Using this to route Waze through my cars bluetooth from my Galaxy Nexus. The two major issues with this are the clipping of the first part of all the Waze notification, so instead of getting "police reported ahead" you just get "d ahead". The enhanced TTS delay doesn't seem to help i guess since its not TTS its just audio, would be nice to delay the audio in the same way. The other issue is having to close it every time I exit my car or i dont get any notifications. Is there not a way to have it auto close when bluetooth disconnects?
1 ★couple issues: completele did'nt catch any sound from ru.yandex.yandexnavi; half working with info.mapcam.droid: "settings - adjust volume - test voice" will start voice call on car audio systen (or just bluetooth headset for testing) and never stops it. when I stops it by hand, it did'nt start again from audiobt service until restart. I promise change my rate after this issues fixed.
1 ★This was a great app to complement Waze making it possible for me to receive voice guidance through my normal radio broadcast in the car. Similar to the way Waze works on the iPhone. Unfortunately when my phone (Samsung Note 2) updated to Android 4.3 it became distorted and uncomprehensible. Due to other performance issues since my update to 4.3 I did a factory reset to my phone and now it is completely unusable, it will not play the voice guidance at all although I can still hear the guidance in the backgrounf if I am running the "Audio test ON" loop.
2 ★Frankly given the well known problem of clipping of audio messages, thelimitation of only five played is way too low. There is no way to tell howlong the messages are clipped and if I want to buy the full version fromhearing only two or three partial messages, and I'm not going to fumblewith my phone while driving to restart the service.
