4 ★After trying several alternatives, I've found that Yappy seems to be the fastest and most reliable option. It's not without a few small quirks, but is far superior to MySMS. One thing that seems to be missing from Yappy, while present in other apps, is the option to send messages with delivery reports. I would love too see that functionality added. A native Windows 10 app would be nice as well. Overall, a great option for cross-platform multi-device SMS.
4 ★I have tried several other apps, Mightytext, mysms just to name a couple. This one is SO much better than any of the others I have tried. I could go on and on about all the problems I used to have. I have found the app to be very consistent. Sometimes not all of my texts from all users come to my screen which is why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars and there are a few tweaks that would make it better but overall this is a great app.
5 ★After I spent literally years trying to figure out a way to send text messages from my computer, I just found out that the SMS app I was using was the culprit. So, I chatted with Marius (the father of Yappy) on his website and he shined some light on that issue. It was maybe the greatest experience I had with customer service. To make it short, Yappy works perfectly, while using EvolveSMS. I can receive text messages from all my friends now. And I can do it straight on my computer. Highly recommended app, highly recommended developper.
2 ★As someone looking for an alternative to Pushbullet after they started charging, I really wanted to like this app. Unfortunately it's WAY too spotty. Constantly needs to be reinstalled or restarted.
1 ★Throughout the day I installed yappy, I noticed my phone on the warm side. And by 5pm my phone was dead. Going through my battery usage, it shows yappy using 12% of my battery, the second highest on the list. Unacceptable! Uninstalled.
5 ★Not sure why some people seem to have issues. I've had zero problems. I started using Yappy with EvolveSMS. Evolve was sort of buggy and lagged a bit. Plus they want you to pay for features and customization that other messaging apps offer for free. So I switched to Textra. I was afraid that I wouldn't get messages on my computer after switching. But I didn't have to change any settings or do anything else. Yappy didn't miss one message in the transition. Wonderful app and I recommend it for anyone.
