How to install NaturalReader - Text to Speech APK on Android phone or tablet?
Download NaturalReader - Text to Speech APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings

1 ★They have good voices but when you use them they tell you to pay $10 for a "plus subscription." I paid for it and then still couldn't use the voices. Now it wants another $19 (on top of the 10 I already paid) horrible bait and switch. Avoid this app. (Edit: I appreciate the response, but this was still a bait and switch tactic. Why you can't just upgrade from plus to premium is beyond me, but still, if I'm trying to use a "premium feature" don't tell me to get plus, tell me to get premium)
4 ★I am a voracious reader, but sometimes I have to be an adult doing adult things. This app comes in handy for the digital print books that I want to read and don't have the time or focus to sit and read with my eyes. It loses a star because sometimes it will just stop reading and it's never in the right place when I go to restart it.
2 ★This app is purely pay to play. I wanted to use it to get a better voice than word and be able to proofread. For the free version proofreading is out the window this app has no understanding of grammar and punctuation which makes the voices, which are slightly better than words, even worse because it has no understanding of how to read what I wrote. Premium seems to have options to help this but I don't want to spend the money and time to do so and the premium voices are worse than the free ones
3 ★Now they've completely changed the app, we may have a sleep timer, but there's only one free voice (I rather have ads displayed), and that voice, as well as most of the Premium and AI voices - are unintelligible and unnatural. They got rid of all the amazing natural voices they used to have, disappointed. Old review: *Love it!! A quickly growing and improving app! My only wish is that there would be a sleep timer, having the audio turn off after a set period of time.*
2 ★It's a trap. I thought this app was great, until after using it for a few minutes I was prompted to make a subscription purchase in order to use the functions that I downloaded the app for in the first place. Without the purchase, users can only continue with 1 voice that is not a "natural" sounding voice. And it doesn't read any text within parentheses... A one-time purchase for access to full functionality would have been way more understanding... but a subscription? Get outta here.
1 ★I was hoping this app would read articles on web pages/websites. Instead it's not user friendly and does not read web pages. You have to copy and paste into their app which is not time sufficient. This app also requires your personal info./email address before you can even log in to find out it doesn't do what you thought it would. A simple widget or extension while online that allows you to click it to read the current web page would resolve this.
4 ★Best voice reader available. As someone with dyslexia in grad school, it is extremely helpful. It has a clean interface and the voices available are excellent. That said, the app is a bit frustrating. Edits to the text in the app are not always retained after being saved, and the pronunciation editor doesn't reliably change the pronunciation of words in the document. This can inhibit clarity without having eyes on the text.
2 ★Free version is useless. Not only is a limit of 5 min reading ultimately unhelpful, but it hardly allows a good testing experience. Also having the limit, so that every element on a page (including footers/footnotes) is read makes for a horrible experience. Then the price to purchase is not worth it. I would never get enough use to justify such a high cost. Plus I can only imagine that once I made the $$$$ commitment I'd find other annoyances. :(
1 ★This app used to be marvelously functional. Well worth the subscription. Now, whatever updates they have added has left the AI ignoring my chosen settings so that it skips parentheticals and bracketed text, it freezes any time a settings change is attempted, it takes much longer to process the inserted text, and if I try to copy text from the app for the purposes of note taking it freaks out and flings me way past the point I was actually reading. Whatever they changed, I hope they undo it.
5 ★Awesome for listening to basically anything you could need, with great accessibility to various media. Although, I wish the program didn't skip over text that is within parentheses. Edit: Nevermind! It really is an incredibly versatile app! Any complaints that could be made are outweighed by how useful it is. Kudos to the developers for such a cool program, and a big thank you cause it makes my busy life a lot easier ✌️
5 ★Initially I gave the app a one star review. I wasn't able to install it on my phone for some reason. I would load the app attempt to log in with my single sign on Google account and it would just pop up a message that said click help. I sent you an email to the dev and provided my information and they got back to me almost immediately the next morning and sent some screenshots on what to check. I was able to fix the problem immediately. Great technical support and good cross-platform feature.
1 ★Thought it'd be great and easy to use, but barely made it through a chapter of a fanfic before it said I needed to pay to upgrade for more. It also took a really long time to start after pressing play (like, 5 minutes). I typically use Voice Aloud Reader, figured I'd give this a try for a more "natural sounding" voice and was disappointed. Deleted and redownloaded Voice Aloud Reader. Not paying for something that's free elsewhere.
