Solid Explorer lets you navigate to files stored on your device and automatically organizes them into collections. You can view, delete, move, rename or share any files. It also allows you to quickly find the files you need through indexed search with filters.
Keep your files safe
Solid Explorer can protect selected files with strong AES encryption and put them in a secure folder, which contents are unreadable for other apps. The file manager will ask for password or fingerprint confirmation when you browse the folder. Even if you uninstall Solid Explorer, the files stay on your device and are still protected.
Analyze Storage
Although this file manager doesn’t feature a dedicated storage analyzer, you can find out which files take up most of space by going to folder properties of internal storage or SD card. You will find the information about the percentage of space each folder takes and the list of biggest files. You can also use search with a file size filter.
Organize remote files
Solid Explorer supports major network protocols and cloud providers to let you organize multiple remote file locations in one place. You can easily transfer files between cloud locations/servers just by dragging them from one panel to another.

5 ★My second favorite file explorer. My first choice one is no longer available so, that makes this the best file explorer out there. Has lots of features, Cloud drive exploring/managing, FTP and LAN, Wi-Fi transfers, and built in viewers. I use it daily, if for nothing else to clean up the downloads folder that seems to always be full of oddly named files. That you can view and rename into something that you will know and recognize before having to open a dozen other files.
5 ★My goto file explorer. Been using it for many years. I have yet to have one problem with it. File transfer,, copy paste, drag and drop, easy to add cloud storage, etc. Looks slick as well. Doesn't have that canned high-school dev homework look a lot of other browsers have. The devs here took the time to make a great browser also look great. I appreciate them taking that time. Its high time our utility apps look like decent offerings that don't look like they from a decade ago.
1 ★This app is very slow reading directories, takes upwards of minute(s) for any results I paid for full version, no idea what I paid for. The UI is infantile. No instructions. Never sure it does what you need, can't find resulting target file. Addons are a nightmare. Wanted an app like Norton Commander. Two window panes are possible, yet if you target 2nd pane, it will miss if it does anything at all. Save your money, play with this toy a long time before wasteing $
5 ★It's a useful, modern app for browsing and moving files. I like the themes, open-with menu, and support for connecting cloud services. Thank you. If I could recommend a feature, it would be easier way to change order that files are displayed. A compact theme that fits more files and folders onscreen. A disk map so we can visually see the size of the biggest folders and files. Better way to distinguish between multiple SD cards. (E.g. each card gets a different color or name)
5 ★i've never hated the app, i loved it but i had an issue where it needed an internet connection to prove you had paid, not easy when you live at the back end end of beyond where connectivity is frustrating at the best of times..Now though i haven't done anything & with updates along the way since i last posted , more features have been added & i can work offline without annoying messages.. BRILLIANT ..just BRILLIANT , nice one app company :)
1 ★Was a 5 star app. Recent update disables ability to share documents with other useful apps, such as your printer, Gmail, messages, etc. Until this is fixed i don't recommend it.
2 ★Thought I was the only one, but apparently everyone else has been getting an error when opening various kinds of files. "No activity found to open this file" If I tap on the box with the arrow at the right of the "Open the file using..." text Solid Explorer pops up a box with "Open as type..." with the following choices: Image Music Video Document Archive Any
2 ★Love this app overall and been using it for a very long time but I reset my phone today, reinstalled this app and when I try to restore from a backup the app hangs at a black screen saying please wait. When I backout of that I am no longer able to swipe right to get to my SD card and have to close the app, force close and reopen it. Not sure what you did and if it was the May 5 (today) update or a prior once but please fix this!
5 ★Moved to this after many years using (the now discredited) ES Explorer. I wish I'd tried this before. Absolutely brilliant, polished, reliable. Went for the paid-for version without hesitation.

5 ★This app is great. Worthy of it's price. Developers, can you also please add the option of being able to select multiple folders simply by selecting two folders then folders in between will be automatically selected. The only option available as i am aware of right now (28May2021) is selecting "all" folders and selecting "inverse" folders.
2 ★I have paid for the premium version of this app. The recent updates have messed up the sharing settings! It seems like a push to keep us locked into using Solid Explorer for everything from viewing PDFs, music, etc. I used to be able to use the share menu from within Solid Explorer to upload files to Google drive, Microsoft OneDrive, open PDFs with my preferred PDF reader, send files To WhatsApp etc. I can no longer do these things with solid explorer. I recommend using X-plore file manager!
