Solid Explorer Cast Plugin APK Download for Android

Description

This is a plugin for Solid Explorer which adds support for Chromecast.
Please note that this is not an autonomic application. Make sure you have Solid Explorer installed first.

The plugin doesn't have its own icon in launcher. In order to launch it, you need to open a media file in Solid Explorer and choose Solid Explorer Cast option as shown on the first screenshot. That's it.

3 ★5 stars if you can make a nice picture gallery folder browser with rotate during cast ( like Localcast app does ) ... Now there's a challenge for the devs

5 ★Even casts MKV but sadly no sound on large mkv files ie: above 1-3GB

4 ★It works fine, but it won't cast clips (only images) from wifi smb. I hoped this would be the only Chromecast app i'd need, so i've got vGet & LocalCast apps to do what this Sol.Exp.Plugin can't do, like playback from Web-URL & casting continuous Playlists (m3u). Casting to My Sony Bravia TV's DLNA player & AirPlay would be handy, even to another Smartphone/Tablet like AllCast can do. Anyway, coz it does most things & is so lightweight, its still a keeper.

4 ★Has the occasional crash but works like a charm 90% of the time. Mp4s work well but avis don't.

1 ★An email to the developer gives you a link stating they no longer respond to email. The link is not active and they never update it.

3 ★This app does what it says. It would be AWESOME if there were a way to cast subtitle files. I haven't found an app that does that yet.

2 ★Does not play avi files and most mkv files play without sound. Mp3 files seem to work okay though.

1 ★Doesn't work with Android 4.4.2. Used to be the best browser app. Now it's trash. I paid for this app over a year ago.

1 ★Chromecast not available with this plugin, but is available to other apps. Makes Solid Explorer worthless.

4 ★Desperately needs a 30 second skip back button. Also, app remains open until a phone hard reset - the "exit" app does not close the app.

1 ★It doesn't provide any way to exit. Quite annoying that I can't get back to Solid Explorer after casting something without exiting the entire app first.
