Televisión Nacional de Uruguay (TNU) es el canal abierto del Estado uruguayo. Es una Unidad Ejecutora del Ministerio de Educación y Cultura. En 1955 fue el primer canal de televisión autorizado a emitir pero inició sus transmisiones de forma experimental el 28 de febrero de 1963 y de forma regular el 19 de junio de ese mismo año.Llega por aire a todo el país y es el único canal uruguayo que transmite las 24 horas del día. Es un canal generalista cuya programación apunta a la cultura, la información y el entretenimiento.
