Description
本院為具優良傳統與特色的國軍專屬醫院，是國軍軍陣醫學中有關航空醫學研究訓練之重鎮。民國二十七年創院於昆明，名為「第二空軍醫院」，民國八十七年七月更配合國軍組織精實再造計畫，本院擴編為國軍醫療體系四級醫療單位，現定名為「國軍高雄總醫院岡山分院」。
本院位於高雄市岡山區，處於台南市與高雄市之間，提供南至橋頭，東底旗山，西臨梓官、彌陀、永安等醫療資源貧乏地區的民眾最佳醫療保健服務。自省道或從中山高速公路下岡山交流道前往本院，僅分別約五至十分鐘，因此本院對於車禍傷患、工廠職傷人員和其他急診病患均能提供迅速而有效的急診醫療服務。
