1 ★Love, love, love Hallmark! When i heard i could get the app and watch whatever whenever i was super excited! I even went ahead and got the yearly subscription. Unfortunately i will probably cancel in the near future. I cant watch any of my favorites, they never rotate movies either. Ive updated and reinstalled the app just to make sure, but there are no new movies or shows. I cant see the point in paying for something i dont even use. Disappointed.
2 ★I love Hallmark movies and I would rate the app with five stars if I didn't have issues with it. Yet, I purchased the annual subscription early January 2021 and I have only been able to watch a couple of movies because every single time I try to play a movie it says "ACCESS DENIED" how is this possible?!? I purchased an annual subscription to have access to all the movies listed on the app. If this is not possible then I will consider cancelling my subscription.
2 ★Love Hallmark movies, and I really want this to work, but this app is just awful. I've tried on various devices, and across the board, this app doesn't even open 50% of the time. I shouldn't have to restart my device everytime I want the app to work. The app is clunky and not organized well (particularly when organizing multiple episodes in a series). PLEASE get some app developers to get this to work well and at the very least, have new content for paid subscribers!
2 ★I think the app is reasonably priced but please Hallmark can you fix the casting? If not can you make this app available on the Xbox one store so that everyone can do a family night on the TV instead of everyone having to gather around a small phone screen.
1 ★This app was ok to begin with but with the most recent update, I get an eye when trying to cast to my tv. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted my phone, reset my chromecast, and nothing works. I'm able to cast other apps to my tv, so my only conclusion is that it's Hallmark's issue. Disappointing. If it's not fixed soon I'll be cancelling my subscription.
1 ★3/13/21 I downgraded my original rating of 3 stars to 1. I still love the content, but the recent app update prevents me casting. Very disappointed. Original review - While I love the content provided through this app, the app itself leaves a lot to be desired. It frequently freezes up and many times it will load with a home page from 6 months ago when it just had a more current one. Much more work needs to be done on the app to even come close to what other streaming services provide.
1 ★Great offering, terrible user experience. The latest version breaks chromecast functionality completely. It even breaks when trying to cast your phone's display, which is shockingly terrible. Even before the update, there were often casting issues, loading issues, and automatic sign out issues. If Hallmark reads this, stop hiring offshore or bargain barrel consultants and hire some competent software engineers. I don't pay a monthly fee to NOT watch your programming on my devices.
1 ★I don't really like the format now. You can't just scroll through the movies, series or anything now. You have to know the name of the movie or show. I typed in movies and I got a list of 20 movies. I know you have more then that. Also, I mark things to put on my watchlist and they aren't in it. What is up? The old format was fine, no need to have changed it.
1 ★Since the latest update it the app no longer works to cast to my TV. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, reset my chromecast and nothing works. The other apps I use still work fine so it seems it's an it issue with the Hallmark app. Very frustrating! I reported this issue and received an auto reply that didn't help at all. Turns out the show I wanted to watch is on Netflix so at least I can still watch it using their very reliable app.
5 ★I've had this app for close to 2 years. I love Hallmark movies. I love this app because I have access to movies all the time. They add movies now and then. I love that they are commercial free. I am so happy they added When Calls the Heart season 7. And I love that When Hope Calls was aired here first. I've not had trouble with the app itself and have been thankful for the upgrades they have made over the years. I do wish my app on the tv and the app on my ipad would sync better.
2 ★Ever since the most recent update, the HMN app freezes and completely shuts down and restarts my Roku after about 90 minutes and the app also randomly logs me out, which is super irritating. The only reason the app is getting two stars is because all of the Signed, Sealed, Delivered movies (and tv show) are on it.
1 ★I'm very disappointed with the new update! I can no longer Chromecast from my phone to my TV. I always enjoyed watching that way. It was a much larger picture compared to my small phone screen. I will be deleting my subscription if this is not fixed this week. Also finding movies are more difficult.
