1 ★This app is loosing its point..don't get me wrong it's a good app I've used it lots over the years but having it combined with utube makes alot of sense..the big problem at the moment, you can't download content directly to your device through utube without a subscription..so to download movies and shows you have paid Google for but don't want to fork out for a subscription you need to keep this..Google if you read this..just get of this app and combine it 100% with utube..that would be awesome
1 ★WARNING 480p ONLY!!! When I originally purchased my movies I had access to the resolution I purchased on any platform. Since the pandemic started they limited that to 480p because "increased data traffic". October of 2020 it was because of changes to their Studio Agreement, that was six months ago. They will NOT refund purchases over 120 days old. I don't see them fixing this. I have legal concerns over this practice, limiting my access to content I legally purchased.
3 ★Movies being sold do not always tell you if there is a 4K version available for purchase. So you could see a movie you want on sell, purchase it at HD. Then later find out there's a 4K version of the same movie you could have bought. Vudu on the other hand gives you all available options for purchase.
1 ★This app use to be amazing now you have to use YouTube to watch purchased movies and be signed in on YouTube. First, I don't want my kids cluttering up my YouTube with their stuff. Secondly, the movies now are horribly organized sometimes with 10 or 12 deleted scenes between each purchased movie as 8n the case with the Star Wars movies. I have purchased hundreds of movies through Google and will not purchase ANYMORE.
2 ★i don't understand why they got rid of google play movies & tv and replaced it with this. while i do enjoy the ability to watch stuff i haven't purchased with ads and the stuff i have purchased without ads, all the free stuff i can watch are from other streaming services. this is mostly a streaming service hub rather than its own service, and what's worse is i can't get it on my roku, so there's no way to share what i bought on google play with my family.
1 ★I have never ordered a movie or a tv show. That credit can go to a nasty no good no life hacker named Candy. She has 6 apps in Google play that "go figure" provide security n protection against "hackers, antivirus, identity theft, storage space. Stay clear of her apps. Upgrading will only cost you and cost you big time. She hacks then offers a bogus protection agency. Lives in Louisiana, yet her business funds are in Delaware. Ummm
1 ★Has a serious problem with downloaded movies. After downloading and leaving for a few days (not long) it'll pop up a message about "cant find license try downloading again". This is super frustrating whsn you're on vacation etc and can't just 'download it again'. Figure out this bug, as its driving me crazy.
1 ★Bought a season of a TV show in this app and then it took them about a week to upload the new episode... Now even though they're uploading episodes the next day or a couple days later it's trying to make me pay for episodes after episode 5 if I try to watch it on my Chromecast yet it also knows I purchased at least up to episode 5 yet it wants me to pay for the other episodes even though I bought the entire season all at once...F U C K Google
1 ★Simply sucks as much as YouTube music! It was fine as it was. You guys have a habit of screwing up a lot and asking the consumer to accept it. Apple is calling my name!
1 ★Enjoyed the app but now that I am forced to use the you tube app and I can't put it on my kids devices without having them using my YouTube account vs their own child friendly accounts I won't be purchasing any more content. Extremely dissatisfied and feel like I wasted money for product I can barely use now. Bad move Google Play five thumbs down.
4 ★Great! Except it won't let me play any downloaded movies. Each time I tap to play the movie it says it couldn't play it because it couldn't verify the license. Even if I'm connected to wifi I still cannot watch a downloaded movie.
1 ★I have never used google tv but the fact that it is keeping my phone from operating. I hate google tv. I would never use it after all the trouble it has been causing my phone.
