Family Link parental controls is the companion app to Family Link for parents. Please only download this app to a device being used by a child or teen.Try the Family Link parental controls app from Google. Whether your children are younger or in their teens, the Family Link app lets you set digital ground rules remotely from your own device to help guide them as they learn, play, and explore online. For children under 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your country), Family Link also lets you create a Google Account for your child that's like your account, with access to most Google services.
With Family Link parental controls, you can:
Guide them to good content
• View app their activity - Not all screen time is the same. Help your child make healthy decisions about what they do on their Android device, with activity reports showing how much time they’re spending on their favorite apps. You can see daily, weekly, or monthly reports.
• Manage their apps - Handy notifications let you approve or block apps your child wants to download from the Google Play Store. You can also manage in-app purchases, and hide specific apps on their device all remotely from your own device.
• Feed their curiosity - It can be hard to figure out what apps are right for your child, so Family Link shows you teacher-recommended apps on Android that you can add directly to their device.
Keep an eye on screen time
• Set limits - It’s up to you to decide the right amount of screen time for your child. Family Link lets you set time limits and a bedtime for their supervised devices, so you can help them find a good balance.
• Lock their device - Whether it’s time to go play outside, have dinner, or just spend time together, you can remotely lock a supervised device whenever it’s time to take a break.

• It’s helpful to be able to find your child when they’re on the go. You can use Family Link to help locate them as long as they’re carrying their Android device.

• Family Link’s tools vary depending on your child’s device. See a list of compatible devices at families.google.com/familylink/setup
• While Family Link helps you manage your child's purchases and downloads from Google Play, they will not need approval to install app updates (including updates that expand permissions), apps you have previously approved, or apps that have been shared in Family Library. Parents should regularly review their child’s installed apps and app permissions in Family Link.
• You should carefully review the apps on your child’s supervised device and disable those you don’t want them to use. Note that you may not be able to disable some pre-installed apps.
• To see the location of your child or teen’s device, it must be powered on, recently active, and connected to the internet.

1 ★First things first, we are NOT spoiled brats, thank you very much. As a 11yr old , I understand why y'all like this app but it has alot of bugs. It blocked my YouTube and YouTube Music, but my parent didn't block it. It's not fair that you can lock our phones, when y'all parents are just as addicted to technology as us. When your phone's locked you can't do anything at all. Seriously parents, you're ignoring the true reviews and torturing your child. Kids, DON'T let your parents find this app.
1 ★Horrible app. It locks without warning and I can't open it without my parents Google password. What nonsense is this? It increases time for some apps even though you didn't use it so much. I can't even see apps wich are 13 plus much lesser download them.I wasn't a person who would go to my mother's phone and unlock an app but now I am forced to. I can't look at asigments cause it's past my "bedtime". I understand the need to supervise but this app is not what anyone needs.
1 ★This app works great if you want your phone to be useless. You can say goodbye to a thing called privacy, there is a massive amount of glitches if your texting someone and your phone locks your friends are goingt to think your ignoring them and then they'll start ignoring you. Trust me parents your son's or daughters childhood is not worth throwing away over an app overall horrible im sick and horrible for people like me who have to go through covid with people around me dying and now this
1 ★This app makes everything so much harder. Whenever I'm studying and I have to send in the photo of my textbook and it's locked I have to call or tell my brother to unlock it but then again when it locks and I still have something to take a photo of or have to send someone something very important it just locks. It makes it very hard to communicate with my friends and I've told them multiple times that my brother is really stubborn and he won't even give me one more chance. Try to speak to kids.
1 ★I can't state enough how terrible this app is. I agreed to download the app so that I could put a bedtime on my phone but now it is much worse. This app controls EVERYTHING wich might be okay for 2 year olds, but for teenagers it's insane! I have no privacy, no trust and my parents are becoming more than comfortable deciding exactly how much I can do every day. Please this is overwhelming. Go find a better app.
2 ★I got this app about a year and a half ago. Then it worked fine on a medium-old tablet. Soon I got a chromebook and my dad installed this app on that device as well. By now my old tablet was glitching frequently. After 9 months of Family Link working on my chromebook (working as in I found several loopholes in the system) it was taking 5 to 10 minutes for the "approve site" thing to work. I would reccomend this site to a child/teen if for the fist 9 months.
1 ★Not only is this app glitchy, but also doesnt provide much control over your childs phone as its very easy to get around blocks and lock mode. I am, in fact, writing this on lock mode. Would not recommend this app for your children.:(
1 ★I have had this app on my tablet ruining my fun for a long time, but now its really bad. My data is stuck the exact same way for three days in a row. So any time I use one of my to its max time,for three days that app and every other app is stuck that way. Because of this my tablet is a boring thing to play on even though I love playing on it. I HATE THIS APP BECAUSE IT RUINS MY FUN!!!!!!!
1 ★honestly, if I were not supervised, my apps will not be glitched,my phone will not be broken but family link takes so much space from my phone, no wonder my roblox was lagging like I can't even see what's going on. (it also is very glitched like I played for 3 hours then when it locks it says 3 hours and 50 mins like what fix this) family link this is just the begenning I am not done yet
3 ★This app is overall good. IF YOU WANT YOUR CHILD TO HATE YOU. I personally had the experience of uncountable glitches, but my dad enjoyes it of course! There are a lot of better alternatives and theres a bug where you cant even open the tablet or phone! My dad tried many on me when I was 7, but I never fought that plenty of years later my dad would do it again! I defenitly do not recommend this for parents. It will just make your child mad at you, especcially if they want privacy
1 ★I get that parents want to keep their children safe but this app does literally the opposite. My parents literally have to approve every app I want to install. I also hate how it will just randomly lock you out and you can't even text or call. My mum literally has to approve every single website I want to visit. She isn't even online half the time so I always have to watch my friends instead. This led to my mental health dropping and me becoming more rebellious. Please don't install this app.
1 ★HaTe It!!! It's the most useless app ever. Even though it's Google it violates ALL privacy. It's tracks my location! It Sees all data phone AND drains battery like hell! It's serves a purpose of 'Controlling Screen Time'🙄🙄. But it Just makes me get pissed off with my parents.I have no IDEA which fools gave it 5 🌟 review . I would give it a 0 🌟 if I could.U can't add Google Accounts without permission ( not even school 🏫 accounts) You need to ask for permission to download apps. 👎Google
