1 ★App does not work. It functioned for 2 hours after I installed it in early December 2020. It then went down. I called the next day and was told they were doing some updates and the system was temporarily down. Four days later, I got a message when I called saying the software was not working and Carrier was fixing it. Several weeks later I still cannot log in by phone and the login through PC will not let me save my location or access my thermostat remotely. For the $ charged, this should not be
1 ★Both Android app and Windows access have become completely non-functional for me. Where is the "proper solution" that was promised over TWO months ago? Are you not replacing the browser access when Flash is no longer supported after 2020? Sorry I invested in a Carrier system at this point. "Carrier Corporation September 30, 2020 Thank you for your patience. With your feedback & others, we have been retooling the app’s infrastructure and working diligently to enhance the customer experience. Please rest assured, we will launch a proper solution for the app shortly."
1 ★The app is not user friendly or dependable. When the portal is down or having problems the least you could do is provide a message indicating you are having portal issues, instead of "check your wall unit to make sure it is connected". It would save your customers countless hours of troubleshooting the connections, IP addresses, DNS servers, ports, etc. Either fix the app or release the code so other developers can fix it.
1 ★Never connects. I miss my nest. Update: it's been over a year and this app is an embarrassment to its developers. It doesn't integrate with smart homes on any platform but Amazon, looks like it was developed to work on an ipod touch, has limited functionality compared to the physical thermostat, and no where near the options on smart thermostats. Based on the frustrations of using this stale, non-functional app I would never buy another Carrier system and recommend anyone who values smart designed apps or who has a smart home set-up on google or apple systems to avoid Carrier hvac systems.
1 ★Doesn't work for long I was able to login and see everything. But after one week I cannot log into the app I cannot change my password or nothing I'm changing my password receiving emails that my password has been reset still nothing app it does not work well at all. Coolray, and Carrier need to find a fix to this not a Band-Aid but a permanent fix
1 ★Terrible App. I have had this app installed on two different Google Pixel phones and after I open it I cannot close it. It occupies my whole screen and there is no way to exit without re-starting my phone. I only use it when absolutely necessary, which is sad after spending $800 to have a programmable remote thermostat installed.
2 ★This app worked well for several weeks. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. The comfort profiles changed on their own. They are all wrong...not what we had set up for Sleep, Wake, Home and Away. The are not only wrong, they all defaulted to the same 50 degree temperature. The schedules have also changed to incorrect information. They also do not match the profiles and schedules on the main Carrier thermostat. Please fix it or we will no longer be able to use the app.
1 ★Doesn't even recognize my AC. Works the furnace OK but doesn't acknowledge my AC at all. (The actual thermostat works fine). Logging in is a PAIN as others have mentioned. Switched from Ecobee which was bad but this is *terrible*.
1 ★I'm fortunate to be able to connect. Other than that I have the same experience as other users. Clunky interface and not very mobile friendly. On top of that, I can't connect to google home. Can't switch to nest because the controller for the furnace is proprietary. I'm happy with the furnace, just very disappointed with the software.
1 ★The UI is horrible. Only operates full screen landscape. Can't see the input fields while typing due to the page not resizing while the keyboard is up. Difficult to navigate and change any settings because of the layout. Update dec 2020: the deleted our password arbitrarily and with no notice and had to reset. Talk about annoying.
1 ★Don't buy a Carrier Thermostat. I have had 1 for 7 years and it never worked with Alexa and now the Android and Apple apps stopped working. Carrier is content to sit behind a phone msg that they are experiencing higher than normal call volumes, ie 1.5 hours and then have no solutions other than they are working on several issues including a server network that was out for 2 weeks. Unbelievable that you can be that bad!!! I am willing to work with a person on line but cannot get to that place and have decided to buy an Ecobee Thermostat and when the time comes to replace my furnace with anything BUT carrier.
1 ★Terrible... Just terrible! Just got a brand new Carrier Infinity model system. Spent a TON of money on this system. You mean to tell me you can't get this piece right. App does not sync with device. Constantly tells me in the app that the device is disconnected, but the device is connected and pulling service. Then let's add to the fact that their is ZERO support for works with. Sure maybe Alexa but yeah that's it. How about a Google Home capability set. App is garbage since it does not work.
