3 ★App was better before update. Search does not work for me. Pulls up multiple categories and non related product. "Departments" is no longer a quick menu option. Therefore when looking through for a certain department and category, u have to constantly go back to home screen, and then hope that the graphics don't error out and overlay multiple screens at same time. Disappointed and frustrated as I used app alot to find options and pricing while diy remodeling my home.
3 ★The app is pretty useful, but it can be hard to find some items if you don't know the category. It would be nice to have a breadcrumb link at the top of an item so you could see the category and subcategories of the item when you find it via search. Also, as noted by others, the shopping cart has a tendency to double your items when you come back to the app after adding things. This only appears to affect items added from the app, as I some things from my tablet and those items don't change.
3 ★The Menards app should give customers the option of digitally applying for, and receiving rebates. Let customer scan their forms, and submit them through the app. Save the customer information, so they don't have to enter it every time. And then digitally deliver the rebate to the app itself, at which customers would hold up their phones for the cashiers to scan. I called customer service and made the suggestion a couple of years ago...
2 ★This app is becoming exceedingly useless. I frequently get an message about the app having stopped responding and asks if I'd like to wait or close it. Today I'm getting an error about something going wrong when trying to open the cart. Attempting to search also throws an error. I have to assume that some of this is temporary, but it needs some work to make it more reliable.
4 ★I also have been experiencing the quantity of items in my cart impractical numbers. I wad reading of several other people having the same issue. Mine has been doing that for as very long time and I've just gotten used to it but it's not right. Call me crazy, but I swear at one we could scan store receipts into the app to keep record of what we purchased. I cannot find a way to do that anymore unfortunately... I'd love to see that feature.
3 ★I like the app for the most part, but when I'm specifically searching for dog food, for example, and I type in Purina Pro Plan dog food, cat food shouldn't be high in the list but it's always a mixed bag. Additionally, when I click the available at local store box I want to see what is available locally and that doesn't work well at all. I love that it shows a map of the store & where each item is.
5 ★Edit: After downloading the app again and downloading the new update (10/16/19) I can confirm that it is working great again! Thanks for the speedy fix! 2 stars. This use to be an excellent app with almost all of Menards products catalogued. Now after the recent update (10/11/19) it will not even open and constantly crashes. Needs a new update before it can be used. Otherwise it would be a 5-star app.
4 ★6-20-21: update to my review: thanx for fixing!!I've been using this app for years & always thought it was the best store website; especially the wish list, but lately it's been crashing. I called Samsung to help with this in case it was my phone's fault. Please help me with this. I'm very disappointed cuz this has great design features except for the crashes and restarts. Please do something to fix the crashes. June 2021 can't open app since latest update. It pops up oops! Update screwed it up.
1 ★What a disaster the shopping cart experience is. Don't make a mistake on quantities or product types, because it's a nightmare to change anything. You are better off removing the item from your cart, but that's not a guarantee either. It refused to let me change the shipping type, once it was selected. THEN, there is no easy way to transfer items from wish lists into the cart. You have to add items into the cart, one at a time. WOW.....
1 ★It is absolutely, beyond annoying to have to select & view the description of every single individual item or do MATH just to figure out the REAL price of anything because the app only wants to list the REBATE price. Hello! That is NOT the real price anyone is paying for anything when they checkout! That is only the POTENTIAL price we will EVENTUALLY pay in the future IF we actually send off the rebate IN THE MAIL! So stop advertising things like they are cheaper than they really are.
2 ★Infinite Crash Bug. Due to the app somehow not being able to play video, you get an infinite crash bug if the last thing you do is try to watch a video and minimize the app and don't return for awhile. The app only remembers you trying to watch a video so the back button/gesture takes you back to the app launcher. Opening the app again takes you to the video that won't play. Only remedy is clearing app data. Please let me download the pdfs you link in product descriptions.
3 ★The stores are great, and I did like the app. But, about 6 mo. ago the app started to lag upon start up and it the latest update hasn't helped. Actually, the latest update took away the shop by dept. tab from the main menu. If a guy can type it in the search tab, he maybe can find the right page. So, I gotta poke all the letters in "electrical" to get the electrical dept. front page. But, geezo who wants to do that all the time? I don't even like putting in all the letters in department on here
