ID.me Authenticator is a simple and free Two Factor Authentication (2FA) solution for your ID.me account. It keeps your online accounts secure on websites that support 2FA. This app generates 6-digit Time-Based One-Time Passwords (TOTP) and PUSH notification based one-touch authentication.
ID.me Authenticator as a TOTP Code Generator: Signing into your account requires your username, password and a verification code that you can generate using this app. Once configured, you can get verification codes without the need for a network or cellular connection when this app is used as a TOTP code generator. You can enroll and connect ID.me Authenticator to your account for 2FA by scanning the QR code at setup time.
ID.me Authenticator for PUSH based authentication: You enter your username and password when signing into your account, then approve the push notification sent to your phone. You will need to enroll and connect ID.me Authenticator to your ID.me account to enable this feature.

How to install ID.me Authenticator APK on Android phone or tablet?
Download ID.me Authenticator APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
Go to your phone Settings page
Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
Check the Unknown Sources box
Confirm with OK
Go to Downloads
Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files
Tap the APK file you downloaded (me.id.auth-v1.6.5-ApkClean.apk)
Tap Install when prompted, the APK file you downloaded will be installed on your device.

1 ★I would like to choose a negative star/number for this because I have been locked out of my SSA account numerous times due to this application not accessing my camera on my phone so I can authenticate myself with this so called selfie and taking pictures that need to be done.... this is absolutely horrible and excruciatingly stressful and upsetting... this is the epitome of technology failing us as humans!!
1 ★It runs you in circles trying to sell you stuff when it's main focused should be on Identification. I wasted so much time with this app I didn't accomplish getting what I needed from the DMV causing me to Loose my Financial assistance I needed from Unemployment now I'm back on streets homeless.
1 ★this app is horrible . it asks you to do things than tells you that you can close this page only to leave you on a blank page. Then you have to log into edd all over again and register again only to find nothing you did went through.
5 ★so far this app is pretty freakin awesome and i feel a lot more confident and secure that my identity can and will be safely will not be a problem confirming and/or proving to any web site. it is a lot of steps and verifying and passwords you absolutely have to Go through and set up so you HAVE to pay very close attention. ALSO you really need to remember all your passwords because it is much much more difficult to go through and recover your account, definitely NOT IMPOSSIBLE, just difficult!

5 ★Worked for me with va.gov, but I don't know where this app is located on my phone. Does not show up in the apps. So to open it I have to go to Google play store and search for ID.me when it is found it gives me the option to open it, so I know it is somewhere on my phone....but where?
3 ★Well my experience with this app I really do like it but it frustrates me because when I go to upload driver's license it keeps telling me that my verified. Approved .so i am trying to see what iim not doimg right. Other then that i love it... But when i think about it i could tell its really safe exactly the type of security everyone needs.
