DRIVING TOUR ROUTE
The tour has commentary everywhere on the island that you will want to explore. We recommend dividing the island into at least 2 driving days. Start at Waikiki or join anywhere along the route.
1) Island Circle Tour. Worth a full day on its own. Major highlights on this tour include the North Shore Beaches, Dole Plantation, Laie, Chinamans Hat, ByodoIn Temple, Pali Lookout and more. If you start early you can combine with the Beaches and Volcanoes Tour. Drive either clockwise or counter-clockwise around the island.
2) Beaches & Volcanoes Tour. Complete in a half day, or make lots of stops to easily fill a full day. Places to see include Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay, Halona Blowhole, Kailua, Lanikai, Pali Lookout, Punchbowl Crater and more. Hanauma Bay is closed every Tuesday.

NOTES
Download the app on Wi-Fi from your network at home or use any free Wi-Fi network. Because the app is filled with audio commentary and maps, its larger than "normal" apps. Many phone/data networks may block the download because of size - so its important to download over a Wi-Fi network.
++ Continued use of GPS running in the background increases battery usage - we strongly recommend taking a cigarette style (DC outlet) car charger. This is much better than simply plugging into the USB port in a vehicle.

5 ★This was the absolute best way to tour Oahu with a rental car. SO glad we found this app and we're able to use it on multiple islands in Hawaii this week. We'll be looking for GyPSy Guides in all our future destinations where we have a rental car. LOVED IT!!!
3 ★The tours are pre-programmed and do play as you drive, in one direction only; which is a bummer. Some of the info is interesting, otherwise, if you want to know where all the tourist traps are this is the app for you.
5 ★What a great app! Very helpful, like what to see, where to turn, where to park, where to eat, and how to get back to town. Just outstanding. Then a bit of history too. All automatically initiated by GPS Coordinates.
5 ★We arrived in Honolulu with no real plan for our activities. Found this app by accident and gave it a try. Provided us with good directions and some insight which allowed us to explore at our pace as we moved around the island. The ability to reverse the route of the tour would be nice but the current route is effective.
5 ★This app worked great. I agree it would be awesome if you could choose which direction you wanted to do the tour in. Don't try to do it backwards, it doesn't work, we tried, ended up turning around and starting over. Just go with the suggeted route and you'll be good. Guide gives very good directions, points out really neat things along the way, and is kind of funny too. We really enjoyed the tour. Worth the money, and you get to do it at your own pace in your own car and not a tour bus! Nice!

4 ★The GPS enabled tour is very cool and works great. You feel like you get the guided tour without spending too much money and can go at the pace you want instead of being shuffled to follow a schedule. Commentary was interesting. I didn't give 5 stars because you have to go in the direction the app is created for. Quite a hassle for us because we had to go through crazy Honolulu traffic. Going in opposite direction doesn't trigger the gps commentary.
4 ★It was like we had someone with us pointing everything out! It was a great app. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I couldn't take pictures and run the app at the same time. My phone is the only camera I have and every time I opened the camera, the app stopped, it wouldn't run in the background. Not a deal breaker, but I missed a ton of great shots! Still a great app and would recommend to everyone!
5 ★If you are not into organized touristy things and like more flexibility (like me) this app is for you. I loved how well the app new the road recommending speed and on which lane to stay. Great alternative to bus tours and much less expensive. Narrative was very pleasant and entertaining. Even if you are just driving without any plans of stopping it's great to learn the points of interest in the area. This is the best purchase ever!
4 ★Excellent app. A must have personal guide. But needs 2 big improvements. 1. Allow user to choose an available tour manually. Also allow user to just choose a major destination manually. 2. Once a tour or destination is selected, begin GPS guidance from the point the user is located. The way it works now is that only starts guiding when you happen to be on. It's pre-designed route. That is not always easy to know.
5 ★Worth every penny. This app even mentions the great roadside vendors. Much better than taking a tour bus. Tips: start the tour early. We started at 9 and hit some traffic on the North Shore. Didn't end up doing some of the final destination. You should break up the tour for 2 days.
