GREAT VALUE

The same information you would get on a bus tour or from a guide book, for just a fraction of the price. And you control the itinerary and schedule.

WORKS OFFLINE

No data, cellular or even wireless network connection needed while touring. Download over Wi-Fi before you tour. Anyone can use them with no data charges – even visiting from another country.

DRIVING TOUR ROUTE

There are many highlights on this tour and these are just a few:

* Bow Falls
* Banff Gondola and Hot Springs
* Cave and Basin
* Lake Minnewanka
* Mount Norquay
* Vermilion Lakes
* and many more spectacular sites

The tour is a loop and you can join anywhere along the route. We recommend 1/2 to 1 day depending on how many stops you choose to make.

CANADIAN ROCKIES APP BUNDLE

This tour is a part of a set of tour apps by GyPSy Guide to explore the Canadian Rockies National Parks. Other tours in the series include:

* Banff, Lake Louise and Yoho National Park
* The Icefields Parkway
* Jasper National Park
* And Calgary to Banff (Free)

NOTES

Download the app on Wi-Fi from your network at home or use any free Wi-Fi network. Because the app is filled with audio commentary and maps, its larger than "normal" apps. Many phone/data networks may block the download because of size - so its important to download over a Wi-Fi network.

++ Continued use of GPS running in the background increases battery usage - we strongly recommend taking a cigarette style (DC outlet) car charger. This is much better than simply plugging into the USB port in a vehicle.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

4 ★I have enjoyed other gypsy tours.. this one was just okay. One main thing I disliked was the pop ups of audio which covered the map up. My other gypsy tours didn't have the pop ups so we could easily use the map to help navigate and see which roads the tour continued to. It was great, for the price.
5 ★Very useful, informative and entertaining. Like having a friendly tour guide in your back seat.
5 ★It's like having a personal guide with you on the road!
3 ★In areas with crappy street signage eg Banff the app has trouble givingdirections that the mortal man can follow
5 ★Great app, for a town of Banff that is super small, there sure is some hidden gems. The narrator isnt as great as the other guy who does the lake Louise and yoho tour but we still enjoyed every bit. I no longer feel jealous when i look at the bus tour and just look at them with pity now.
5 ★Love the Gypsy apps...used 4 on our Canadian Rocky Mountains vacation...from now on I will definitely look for and purchase for other road trips..they might even influence where I travel
5 ★We used this app on banff and it wad awesome. It really helps to find new things that you would never run across otherwise. Fairly easy to use and picks up wherever you want. Highly revoke recommend!
4 ★We used all of the GyPSy Guide apps on our recent trip to Banff and thoroughly enjoyed them all, and this one is the only one with a hiccup. It definitely took us to a few places we wouldn't have visited otherwise, so that's a big plus. The one issue we had was that the printed map from the web site's PDF showed a stop at Johnston Canyon, but the app skipped it and directed us to Vermilion Lakes. We were looking forward to the canyon so we followed the highway signs there anyway and the app had a problem when we went back on their route after our canyon stop. Other than that, we had a great time using this app and enjoyed the narration and fun facts about the area. Also, since it doesn't use your data plan, it's ideal for non-Canadians.
1 ★App did not work. Kept getting message about looking for GPS satellite even though GPS was on. Calls to customer service were never returned.
5 ★Great App, it was like having a tour guide sitting next to us in the car
4 ★Purchased 4 of these tours for our rv trip to Banff and Jasper and . They were great. Learned a lot about the early visitors, wild life, geology and other things. It was also great to get you to stop and see things that otherwise you might have passed By. The only problem I had was setting up the blue tooth to perform consistently in the car. Worked fine in the Rv. I can't be sure but I started getting adds on start up after installing them that went away after the trip when I uninstalled them But can't be positve.
5 ★We have traveled by motorhome throughout the USA and Canada with many trips to Yellowstone, Glacier, and the Banff Jasper areas. This year we saw Gypsy guides and said when we reach the Banff area we would try one of the apps. Well we ended up getting the Banff- Lake Louise, the Icefields Parkway, Waterton-Alberta, Yellowstone and Arches-Canyonlands. While we have been to these areas on numerous occasions, the guide was both informative and entertaining. It pointed out locations and told some of the history. To us it was a great investment. We love to do driving tours, many overseas and hopefully Gypsy or others will expand their libraries to include larger areas. We will rate these apps as 5*
