Our tour takes you from resort areas in Kona and the Kohala Coast to Volcanoes National Park, that includes a comprehensive tour inside Volcanoes National Park. Listen to different stories on the drive back to Kona. OR, you can drive clockwise from Kona and Hilo towards the park with full tour commentary as well.
Island Circle Route
Being an island, you will want to drive all the way around. You can drive our Full Circle Tour around the island in either direction and includes Volcanoes National Park, Hilo, Hamakua Coast, Waipio Valley, Waimea, Punalu'u Black Sand Beach and the Kona Coast.
Kohala Coast Scenic Drive
Recommended half day drive following the spectacular northern coast of the island including the historic sugar towns of Hawi and Kapaau, the superb views from above the Pololu Valley and then drive over the Kohala Mountains to Waimea cowboy town before returning to the coast.
Kona Coast Sightseeing
Another half day tour to see Kona's best beaches, the islands best snorkeling and many fascinating cultural and historically significant sites including Kealakekua Bay and the Place of Refuge. Plus many great viewpoints as we tour through the coffee plantation areas.

I will be using Gypsy Guides wherever we go from now on.Just wish I would have known about the "packs" as I bought big island, Oahuand Maui all separately and could have saved a bit buying the packageinstead...but, still worth every penny!

The previous week on O'ahu we took several guided tours which was nice but didn't enjoy being stuck with loads of other people all day. This was the perfect solution to that problem and way cheaper! Very informative and humorous! Best money we spent on the whole trip!
5 ★I cannot offer a more glowing recommendation. Our "guide" spent three days with us touring the Big Island and the combination of directions, explanation of local sites, history, culture, language, etc. never ceased to be interesting. I was dreading the long 2.5 hour ride back from Volcanoes National Park to Kona until I realized I would learn about the history of Hawaii, from initial settlers through statehood, during the trip. It made the time we spent driving in the dark pass quickly. This app is worth far more than the <$10 it currently costs. There were a couple of glitches where a previous track kept repeating at subsequent way points but that was resolved with a simple restart. I've already downloaded the Kauai version as we're heading there next.
