5 ★haven't checked in yet but so far the process has been smooth, app runs great, and customer service has been easy to connect to both via phone call and messaging through the app. Kinda loving Sonder as of right now
2 ★The app is a wrapper around a browser experience. It has ads inside prompting you to download the app. They require you to share proof of ID before confirming your reservation but after you pay - this is unusual and not a cool user flow. Not impressed with the application, or the entire experience so far, but I check into my room tomorrow and hope to have a better experience on site.
1 ★Worst experience ever. I paid in advanced my reservation and I could never receive the check inn instructions through the app nobody could help me neither by phone or email. Tried to cancel the reservation and they did not let me either I wouldn't recommend anyone to book through this app.
1 ★First of all the app never stated that we would be charged an additional $150 for incidentals. Then when I went to make a payment all was good on my end but for some reason it didn't go through on sonders end. It is FEBRUARY in CANADA and we are stuck outside waiting in the cold for sonder to figure this out on their end. The person on the phone made absolutely no attempt to accomadate us and didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. Save your money try another app.
1 ★The absolute worst "hotel" experience of my entire life. They lie constantly. My "hotel" had a broken keypad for the four days we were there. We were stuck outside at 3am for almost an hour in New orleans. We were on hold with the support team, who had no idea what yo do. We only got it in when someone inside ordered door dash. Still waiting for a callback from the manager.
2 ★it was a nice location hotel but no other feature. they don't give any complementary water. also they forgot to provide full set of towels. there were housefly, centipede and may be even bed bugs in the room. if you are fine with others it is good as the location is very nice.
5 ★Love this place!!! Beautiful and homey. Excellent service, quick response. I didn't know there were extra towels under the sink, they sent extras right away. I can't wait to travel again because I will be looking for a Sonder.
1 ★There is no reason an app should be required to utilize hotel services. This only serves as an additional mechanism of personal data collection. Not having an ability to opt out of this is supremely unethical. Additionally, I should not be required to provide photographic record of my personal information in order to book lodging. Would not recommend this app or hotel service to anyone.
1 ★Stay away. I received credits for $1,200 for a stay that had to cancel due to Covid. Sonder refuses to honor the credit and insists on keeping $1,200 in UNEARNED payments. Other travel companies from airlines to hotels have honored their commitment to deliver services paid for but delayed due to Covid restrictions. I used in July ‘22 credits for travel originally booked for June ‘20. That’s how Iberia and AA earn loyalty… by earning the money delivering the service and being helpful about it
1 ★Had issues from the booking regarding early check in and late check out - what they don't tell you is they don't approve your request until less than 24 hours to your booking for early check in, and late check-out is literal approval hours before you need to leave. Save the $100 by booking with Sonder and just get a bnb. Also app would freeze and chat wouldn't load making trying to talk to support really annoying.
5 ★Great location. No nonsense, remote check in. If we needed anything I would text concierge and the response was immediate. "Very" spacious. Loved the kitchen space with all basic necessities & brand new washer & dryer. Amazing view! The room was clean and safe. No housekeeping knocking on the door. The street car is across the street @ $3 a day pass on LePass App you can go to Bourbon, Cemetery, gardens, Jackson square, Cathedral, Cafe de Monde, French Market, etc. We had wonderful time.Thanks.
1 ★Worst experience ever. We needed to extend our stay a day. Customer service chat said they could do it for us. Said it was taken care of. It was not. We did not know they needed to send us a link giving permission to charge our card. The next day our code to our room stopped working. Cleaning staff scared my teen by trying to come into the room. Customer service blamed us. Tried to charge us for late check out and double charge us for cleaning that didn't happen. Never. Use. This. Service.
