Description
Lightning is a simple, fast web browser that focuses on design, security, and efficiency. It uses material design, doesn't track you, give you lots of options to protect your privacy. It gets out of the way of the user. I built this browser because I wanted something better.● Ad blocking - Blocking ads is a core feature of Lightning Browser, meant to improve the speed and security of your browsing experience.
● Design - Lightning's interface was carefully crafted so you can browse as efficiently as possible. Tabs and Bookmarks are all tucked neatly away in side drawers, only a swipe away, allowing maximum screen viewing with minimal interference from the browser's chrome. Dark Mode, Light Mode, Color Mode, Night Mode... Anyway, whatever you like, there's a mode for you.
● Speed - By utilizing the WebKit rendering engine that comes built into your Android device, Lightning can ensure a swift, lightweight experience.
● Privacy - Use Incognito Mode to browse without leaving a footprint, download Orbot and turn on TOR proxy support to mask your identify and location, use StartPage or DuckDuckGo for your search engine, or disable settings that you think leave you at risk. Whatever your concern, Lightning will try to help.
● Features - Full-screen, check. Inverted Rendering, check. All the search engines you want, check. Search Suggestions, Bookmarks, History, User Agents, Reading Mode, whatever you need, Lightning does it.
● Open-source - Just as Android open-source, so is Lightning. I believe that the best software is built when communities come together to engineer the best solution. Head over to the repository on GitHub to contribute or translate.
● Free - Check out the paid version for AdBlock and Unlimited Tabs. Free version is limited to ten tabs open at a time.

3 ★Some hyperlinks make the app crash. Pressing back button can be buggy and doesn't even go back most of the time unless I double tap it fast. A back and forward button would be a nice added feature as well. Even a request desktop mode button.
3 ★nice browser, but the search suggestions do not support Unicode fonts (Vietnamese for instance).
4 ★(On Android 4.4.4, Motorola Xoom) Regularly replaces my current tab with about:blank when changing from and back to the app. Still 4 stars for pure speed compared with Opera Mini, and perfectly fine site support from my experience so far.
3 ★Rocket Browser is based on your browser and makes a much better job with the tabs - end-user intuitive. However, Rocket Browser has not been updated since 2016 and probably won't be anymore. It would be FANTASTIC if you could implement the tab interface of Rocket Browser ...
2 ★Browser bookmark exporting doesn't work and causes and error message. Please fix!
3 ★For the past few months, none of the images saved through lightning have been detected by my other, non-file-browser apps. It's only now getting annoying for me because I don't know if it's my phone or what. Great otherwise.
5 ★Quick and Nifty, FOSS, free adblocker and swipe gestures. Dev: main menu is scrollable without indication of being so the "Settings" menu item ends up being hidden (5.2 inch screen). Please add "block images" to the "Page tools" list. Thanks!

2 ★Used to be great but now it just crashes every time I'm using it. "Unfortunately Lightning has stopped working" is the message I get. Most times, I'm in the middle of writing something and boom, it kicks me out.
5 ★Super.... The best light browser so far.... I have tested n used over a dozen so-called slim/light browsers - nothing better than this. Fast, small, and customizable. Highly recommended.
1 ★Installed nicely. Opened fine. Wonderfully clean interface. But nothing happens from search. No indications of activity, zip, nada. Typing in a full website doesn't get anything either. Maybe my Android 5 too old for this browser.
4 ★it is good as compared to other browsers. but while downloading any songs or files there is no option to paues the download. and even there is no option for changing the download location to SD card or memory card.
