Dans le cadre du Dakar Digital Show 2018, Orange s’associe à Facebook pour organiser la quatrième édition du Hackathon. Les séances de hacking se tiendront du 9 au 11 Novembre 2018 à la maison d'éducation Mariama Ba de l'île de Gorée.Le « HACKATHON » a pour objectif principal de sensibiliser les jeunes sur l’apport des technologies de l’innovation dans le développement économique, et de les préparer ainsi à l’entreprenariat en les aidant à aller du stade d’idée à startup.
Plus largement, ce concours de développement applicatif a pour thème : Embarquer pour la révolution numérique , avec cinq catégories suivantes:

Social impact (M-agri, E-santé, E-edu)
Jeux et Divertissement
Fintech
Le Challenge permettra aux jeunes développeurs:
- De concrétiser leurs projets
