2 ★Very good and well functioning browser, but the ads and constantly needing to remove the opera casino redirector speed dial knocks two stars off in my opinion. The dev team also just told me to disable suggested sites to resolve this, but I've already had this disabled since I downloaded the app. EDIT: I just found another issue with the app. I use NordPass for password management and it worked fine with every browser I used before. Sadly not the case with Opera.
5 ★Everyone is trying to sell you something. Often what you're trying to read online is marred by the slow of advertising interspersed throughout. This browser is the best I've found at making those ads disappear. I take it for granted till I use another browser for a specific task and all the ad trauma PTSD flares back up.
5 ★Been using Opera (mobile and desktop) for more than a few years now after switching from the now maligned Chrome; and, I must say, I do NOT miss it! Opera is like Chrome but on steroids. More bells and whistles. More control over your browsing experience. Built-in ad blocker, built-in VPN (FREE!), effortless sync between mobile and desktop, many add-on extensions, AND much lighter on RAM. 5* to the Opera developers!
4 ★Not a big fan of the way you slide through tabs being @ the bottom. And the fact that looking through your favorites doesn't persist what folder you were looking in last. Otherwise love the performance as well as the ad blockage that this app has. Being able to sync with devices is a big plus aswell.
3 ★Doesn't always block cookie dialogs but overall is a nice browser. Would like option to prevent browser fingerprinting. Edit 10/26/23: The ad blocker has not been working properly after the last update. Blocks some but not all. Have switched to Brave for the time being. As for my previous suggestion about browser fingerprinting, you can Google fingerprinting if it's something you're not familiar with.
4 ★This browser is a really good recommendation for people, but I do have a couple of suggestions. First of all I think there should be a landscape mode for phones. Second of all I think that for tablets there should be your favorite apps when you go to the menu and when you click on them, they show a medium screen. Just as the pc version. Also the VPN thing is not working for me it just dosnt turn on and just says connecting. File sharing is super great and I think you should add a beta.
1 ★No longer able to upload photos. Perpetual error message: "Can't load content at this moment." Tried everything to fix it. Now I'm trying Duckduckgo and so far I like it and am having no problems. Opera is unusable. For some unknown reason, websites think I'm in some other country and content comes up in various foreign languages. And there's no way to fix it in settings, and updating didn't help.
5 ★Overall I think Opera is a pretty good browser but there are things that can make the app even better. first they should put it in the settings that the app can automatically delete tabs in a set amount of time when closed or just been left out. second one of the most important things that a browser app can focus is to be more privacy base as well could really make Opera a lot better
5 ★Hands down, it is the best browser for all your needs. It blocks ads efficiently, and is fast enough in loading websites. It sometimes tends to get the screen distorted, but you only need to remove the app from recents and reload it. It has a free vpn, if you may need it. I'm using this browser since an year, and it has little to no troubles to me. It has few bugs, but nothing major. You won't be disappointed choosing this as your browser. Also offers complete customisation and private browsing.
1 ★It's full of ads that make it generally obnoxious to use. You can turn a lot off but not all of it. You can't get rid of the massive banners asking you to try "VPN pro" or get hide/customise the useless buttons (like "crypto wallet" - why is that at the top of the menu on every page?!) "PERSONALISE YOUR BROWSER WITH AN OPERA ACCOUNT" is at the top of everything, you can't get rid of it unless you do. Would recommend edge instead. You can customise it and the ad blocking is just as good.
4 ★Please change recent tabs to cards. It is far more efficient and quick to see and manage tabs. Also, please make the cookie blocker function better as it functions better in other browsers. Apart from these two suggestions the browser is the best browser on the market. It's quick, has an adblocker and the flow feature is amazing. The flow feature alone is enough to recommend it. Please keep the browser simple and fast
3 ★Good Browser, but used to be better. Recently many times I open Opera I am bothered with wallpaper suggestions, reminders of it's AI Engine, or Backup solutions. Another annoying aspect: The integrated Ad-Block used to be way better, and sometimes Opera adds Bookmarks to the blank Startpage. They can be removed, but it's annoying. I get it, considering how many people use the Browser, Opera wants/needs to make some money. But, well ...
