4 ★Pretty good so far. Only a few minor issues in my opinion. The suggested texts don't always appear and I have to manually text the customer. (I wouldn't mind this normally, but it can cut into your time management) also I think a few items belong in different categories, like yogurt should be in dairy, not snacks. Overall, really loving the shopper experience.
3 ★The app is mostly fine. The main features of the app work well, although there are way, way too many notifications. Please, only give us notifications that pertain to our specific zone we are on the schedule for. we are receiving notifications every 5-10 minutes for promos across the entire metro... that is not useful and extremely annoying and distracting during shops, as we think we have an order only to find it is a promo order prompt for all the zones in my metro.
2 ★The app continues to have issues with android users!!! I used an iPhone for two years with Shipt with zero problems!!! I have been using a Samsung s10 android over the past two months and the transitions are clunky and I constantly recieve a loading error when trying to access the app, I have to close out the app each time and load up again!!! The only issue I've had transitioning from iPhone to android has been the Shipt shopper app!!!
2 ★Unless you're on the app and refreshing every 2 minutes, you're going to miss out on orders. It's ridiculous. I've tried restarting my phone, logging out and back in, and also deleting and redownloading the app. Nothing works. It also glitches sometimes, and I have to spend 5 minutes trying to get it to work again. I like doing this gig, but idk how much longer if this issue keeps reaccuring.
4 ★I enjoy the shopping experience, communicating with the customers and delivering orders. However, because the customers assume we're paid by the hour, they often don't tip or tip like they'd tip for pizza delivery. There's also no compensation for unavailable items, even though they take much more time to "shop." Recent order: Two unavailable big ticket items dropped a would be $15 payout to $8 with a 40-min shop time w/lots of texting with customer and 46-minute round trip delivery. $2 tip.
4 ★Decent app and really enjoy how it interfaces with navigation apps. Wish it was a bit more seamless between texting or calling a customer and shifting back to the app as well as better controls on what orders can be claimed. Also it would be nice if tips were pre-populated when they order a delivery instead of being prompted later on when they go to open the app back up.
1 ★EDIT to say I have called numerous times! Running on a brand new galaxy s9. Extremely buggy. Most icons show up as a small box with an x in it. Have not been able to process an order without calling support in about a month. Many buttons do not work i.e the one to reach out to customer. When I select that I have found an item it automatically says I have the wrong item without even opening the camera. My connection is fine. I deleted and redownloaded app too many time to count now. Please fix.
3 ★I personally think that it would be more beneficial to separate the items base off which isle they are in rather than what category they fit into, such as pantry and grocery. I feel that there is a lot of walking in circles because you shop by categories in a lot of times there are items that are in the same aisles but different categories. This was short mart shopping time significantly. Sometimes items are categorized as meat and dairy when it is actually a deli item and labeled as such. Also I feel that it is sometimes unrealistic to suggest each item will only take 1 to 2 minutes to shop because when you have a lot of items that are on sale and you have to ask associates to look for these items in the back, it takes significantly longer which ultimately results in delivering an order late. So the time frame the app says you can shop the order in is not always correct. Then you have the estimated time of delivery, it always takes long to deliver than the app says it does.
3 ★I wish they wouldn't bundle orders, it may take longer, and it cuts into being able to take other orders because the orders tend to be where clients are at opposite locations. There also needs to be more clarification on where items are, like Costco and other stores, which have aisle numbers, the app needs that info inputted instead of a general area like "dairy" and others because we spend too much time looking for where each areas is and guessing. Target has the easiest way to find things.
4 ★Have only had issues with the app once, love it and love being a Shipt shopper! Wish that the items were all categorized much better, though. Not a fan of completing at all items in the "deli" category, and be in the dry grocery aisles, to run into miscategorized items like hummus or gourmet Tortilla chips that are only in the deli section. 2 different types of crab meat that are next to each other in the cooler, but one is listed in meat & seafood and the other is listed in international foods..
3 ★I enjoy the job itself and the people I meet, but this app drives me crazy. It is always going offline no other app on my phone has a problem. The scanner struggles sometimes which has made me say choice words. It seems to be better lately, but the app going offline all the time makes me a little nuts. Just saying. I have done everything tech support has offered.
5 ★i absolutely love the app!! i love how it breaks down things by category/aisle (although isn't 100%accurate but what is 😁) i love that everything you need is built into the app..google maps, pics..one thing i would change is always being able to see the route before accepting an order..sometimes the map gets cut off or you cant see the full route to the delivery address..other than that the app is awesome and so is the company, I LOVE SHIPT!!
