Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

2 ★Bell gs5 stock 4.4.2 brand spanking new. Application opens. Loads forums whenever it wants. But mostly just hangs on loading the data from the site. When in the forums device list it likes to always kick me back to the all topics tab. Can't use this at all. Could be that I am using ART runtime, but I'm not resetting my device for this application.
5 ★IMHO, xda free organizes my followed forums and discussions much better than tapatalk. I don't have a lot of time when i am AFK, so getting to the content i want quickly counts highly on my scale.
1 ★Needs a lot of work. The method for starting threads could use work, due to the lack of a menu button on many newer phones. With that said, I have recently found that if you hold the recents on screen button instead of tapping it, it acts as the menu key. Never mind that is on Kit Kat. On Lollipop that is no more. This app is complete garbage on Lollipop. I can't even use the search function. Keyboard comes up, but the text box won't stay selected.
5 ★Paid for the premium one but this it's better, so have gone back to it. For devs their apps are crap. BTW you are using this and are sick of being hijacked you should know what adaway it's.never seen an ad.I've paid for the premium version do feel justified doing this as that version is crap.
4 ★4 stars. Love the app for browsing my favorite threads quickly. But if my search area isn't a favorite I need to scroll to find my phone instead of just searching like the website. Also when I press the back button to check something or try a solution he app doesn't open whee I left off. Back to the home screen to find my phone again. Other then that. Great app
2 ★The fact I have to hold the recent applications buttons to get it to display settings (like from the good old gingerbread days) is very funny. Oh, not being able to have your subscriptions to threads survive a data wipe is also annoying. Not being able to reset your password through the application is aggravating. I clicked the reset link in gmail and I got a prompt asking if I should use the web browser or the xda application. I tried the XDA app and it went into a never ending cycle of attempting to load.
4 ★Been using this app for awhile now and each update has fixed many issues that have been troublesome. Only issue I have now that keeps me pulling up the full website is that some posts will not load the further I go down the list.
1 ★Still asks for ratings even tho I've already rated, and nothing has changed. It still sticks at loading or fails to connect to the forum. It still sucks! After even three more months it asks to rate. So keeping it at 1 star
1 ★I can understand displaying ads at the bottom, in threads, even an occasion full screen ad within the app. But this hijacks your phone and opens the browser and play store two to three times to bring you to app install pages. Ridiculous.
1 ★I loved XDA but lately with the ads on this app. Its making it feel more like spamware rather than a useful app. I don't click on any ad yet when I go into this app I'm redirected 3 or 4 times to either a website or play store. This is malicious.
1 ★Have had to reset my password over ten times waited 2 1/2 hours in 15 min intervals all so I can still not login to ask one simple question. Unbelievable
1 ★I thought I would give the official app a try since Tapatalk is plagued with issues. Well, that didn't happen, because the app won't even open. After waiting for several minutes on the opening xda logo, I gave up. I guess I'll have to deal with Tapatalk bugs.
