Description

TWRP - Team Win Recovery Project

Official app developed by Team Win for TWRP. Use the app to alert you when new TWRP versions are released for your device. When a new version is available, download it using the app and install it (root users only) without rebooting to recovery.

The Official TWRP App does not require root to perform version checking, however, additional features are available such as image flashing if you grant root permissions.

Currently the app is only able to flash images from internal storage. We will add the ability to use additional storage locations very soon!

We will be developing additional features in the near future, so check back often!

Please do not ask us to add TWRP support for your device. We simply do not have access to all of the devices or the developer resource to port your device for you. You can port your own device here:

How to install Official TWRP App APK on Android phone or tablet?

Download Official TWRP App APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:

Update Phone Settings

Go to your phone Settings page
Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
Check the Unknown Sources box
Confirm with OK

Go to Downloads

Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files
Tap the APK file you downloaded (me.twrp.twrpapp-v1.22-ApkClean.apk)
Tap Install when prompted, the APK file you downloaded will be installed on your device.

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

5 ★This has been the best app to actually give me insight into what is possible with technology and what you can actually do with a mobile phone. It has saved me from countless bootloopimg, and bricking of mobile phones. It would actually be a dream to work for an app development and software development company and see what goes into actually engineering this application. Go Teamwin.

2 ★It would be nice if the app showed the TWRP version installed, offered the possibility to verify and flash new updates directly and eere able to reboot to recovery or bootloader with sibgle click. As for now (10/04) you have to selecet your device from the list (could be saved already) and manually check for the latest version. Seems promising, but at this state is useless.

2 ★It has to many bugs. After everything I do the app closes and never lets me get on it again. I hope you fix this because for me it was a waste of time😑

1 ★So as a non-subscribing user, the app directs you to a download page for the image, which when done within the web browser on LineageOS downloads a 7KB. When you go to flash it, TWRP app says it succeeded... then you boot to a blanked recovery partition... so basically it tried to brick my phone. If you transfer the img file from a PC to the phone, flashing will work... but for the app being too stupid to tell that it's not an img file and that it didn't actually do its job, it gets a single star.

1 ★App takes me to the downloads page for my Huawei P9 Plus and recovery image downloads successfully. But when I install, app says it has been flashed successfully but it doesn't boot into recovery. Phone again boots in stock recovery.

1 ★This app does not check if you already have the latest version of TWRP Recovery before requesting you to update again. On some Samsung devices, installing an updated recovery package can soft-brick the affected mobile devices. If you don't know how to recover from a soft-brick, then don't use this app. Be very careful with it!

5 ★I use *Official TWRP App* on every one of my mobile devices EVER. Never been let down by this product. Cudos to a continuation of flawless design and UI.

3 ★This app has definitely done something to my recovery file, when I flash a new version of twrp, it does actually change something. I know this because when I try to boot into recovery mode, it gets stuck in a boot loop. Then when I flash the stock version back on, it works fine. I'm using an Asus ZenFone 2, if I could get help with my problem, that wouod be lovely. tl:dr app works and installs twrp, but twrp doesn't boot.

1 ★This app is total waste Dont install for oppo A57 Because it doesnt have the file I really want teamwin but this is the problem I tried 2 years nearly finding files for team win been installed in my phone A57 But its all a total of wasting of my time

1 ★This app is a mess on my Pixel 2 XL. It claims to have recovery images for my device, but it can't even find my current recovery to backup, after downloading the TWRP image, it won't continue to flash it, and there hasn't been a new version of this app to fix these issues in over a year. The project is starting to feel like abandonware just like ClockworkMod Manager did back in the day. It's really sad to see this happen to such a great project.

5 ★Sorry, I can't help saying this: l know you won't; but from now on I will always wonder why you released an official TWRP for every single Moto Z variant device out there, except for Z2 Play!!!... Aside from that, this app does what it should. It's hard to find something wrong coming from such a Team.

5 ★TWRP is has always been the best & still is the best!!! I've been rooting for over 10 years now, and in my opinion there is a reason why CWM recovery is not as popular as once was.... and that's because CWM just had there mind on $$$$ while TWRP has there mind on making it possible for every Android device, model, and variant out there.... to have a custom recovery 😁💖😋
