A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★This application literarily sucks. Too simplistic. Doesnt provide access to even most basic services. Summarizing not worth a download. Fedilab is much much better, has more very skilled devels and vibrant community plus huge user base. Plus devels are worthless prigz supporting censorship. If you got it, delete uninstall and move to fedilab. If you aint got it dont bother installing.
5 ★Impressed at how smoothly it works, especially with multiple accounts. Sharing from another app asking which account you want to post as is a particularly nice touch - I've had trouble with other apps (such as Instagram) where I share a photo and discover at the last stage of editing that it's on the wrong account. The only thing I miss is having a dedicated space for DMs.
4 ★I really love this app! It does its job well and its limitations are worked around in a way that's fair (ie: showing incomplete off-server accounts, but giving you an option to view rhe full thing in your browser) Only reason I haven't marked it 5 stars is it lacks a DM tab like the website does, making it hard to find your messages (you have to scroll through your notifications to get there and find the most recent message)
2 ★Notifications often do not function. They're either delayed (sometimes by hours) or do not arrive on your phone until you re-enter the app. It is difficult to participate in social media when you're not told when people are interacting with you. For this reason, I ended up uninstalling and finding an alternative.
5 ★I believe Tusky is the Android Mastodon client that feels most like the official web interface. It just works - its snappy, looks great and provides easy access to most of the common Mastodon functions. It provides everything I need to access the fediverse while on the go. The most prominent complaint regarding Tusky that I've seen is that it prevents access to certain instances on the fediverse. The negative reviews citing this complaint don't tell the whole story. People need to know that, although controversial in the eyes of newcomers, this is an intentional feature aimed at combating hate speech (the blocked instances have overly permissive user terms that allow and encourage such hate speech). The ability to block problematic instances is part of a collection of improved moderation features that make the fediverse a safer place for minority groups than larger, centralised social media platforms. I see this as a good move on the developers' end.
5 ★When Tusky was first released, it was a bit of a mess, but it has since become one of the best Mastodon clients for Android. It offers a smooth experience and a focused design that makes browsing timelines and managing multiple accounts a snap. The app doesnt have every feature, but its focus on quality is excellent.
5 ★I switched from fedilab to tusky for the cleaner interface. It works great. I appreciate tusky's focus on providing a simple and easy to use app. I also consider it's spam filter, that blocks hate speech sites and redirects users of them to a rick roll, a feature not a bug. Thanks to the developer for creating such a fantastic open source mastodon client.
5 ★I've found it to be a better and more stable alternative to tootdon! I was apprehensive at first because I was so used to the other platform but the quality has been leaps better. Easily can access my own profile and can scroll through pictures without having to click on each individual pic. Would recommend!
5 ★Works great and feels responsive and modern. If i were running a Mastodon instance, I'd happily recommend this to friends for its ease of use. I love the multiple accounts support! For some reason, I'm not bothered by the dev choosing to block servers associated with hate speech; maybe I just don't find the slippery slope fallacy convincing.
5 ★The app does everything it is designed to do, and very well at that. Thoughtful design, dark mode, intuitive interface. You can't go wrong with using this as your Mastodon client. To those who complain about Gab not being on there, just cut it out. If the developers blocked it, so what? It's their app. It's not up to you to police them. There's a reason they blocked it. Get over yourselves and find a different way to get to Gab or others if you want to go there.
5 ★Good UI and notifications. It also has spam blocker functionality to keep malicious sabotage out of the Fediverse, such as harassment, hate speech, intimidation, threats, coordination of terrrorism, and defamatory conspiracy theories. Tusky helps keep your feed worth reading. Also it's great to have a tile in the widgets dashboard that lets me instantly compose a post.
5 ★A very solid app that works really well! It feels a lot like how the Twitter app did before they added all the bloat stuff like moments and ads and the "home timeline, where we show the best tweets first". Your experience may vary due to the nature of the service, but the instance I'm on is very friendly. Good if you're already established on mastodon and just want a mobile client that works well.
