Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

1 ★If you're like me you enjoyed Sync because of the familiar feel to previous reddit apps (namely Alien Blue which became the official app for awhile) and preferred that look and interface to the modern social media mobile trash plaguing every app today. Well after years of building a userbase on that the dev decided they were going to join in and be just like every other garbage reddit app and redesign everything. Sure some things may be objectively better but for people who weren't interested in that it completely removes any reason to use THIS app. If I wanted a UI filled with wasted space, floating elements I don't want, every setting buried in menus and tons of padding I'd just use the official app. The dev has reverted the update, but my trust is lost at this point. I appreciate getting some time back with the app I loved but knowing there's a dark future coming EVENTUALLY means I might as well start looking for a new app now since I'll have to do later anyway.
2 ★Had a cool redesign for all of 30 seconds. When it reverted back, I lost the ability to view gifs within the app and no amount of uninstalls or cache clears have fixed it. About to go look for a new reddit app.
1 ★Update: After the rollback gyfcat/redgifs have all of sudden stopped working, and the only advice is to to try the beta - the version we just rolled back from because it was basically a whole new app that was missing a lot of the original features. Surprise update that completely changes the interface to one completely different. Buggy, and lost all customised settings in the process. Should also note the app's subreddit is full of toxic users when trying to provide any feedback that's negative or get any help. Previous version did what all other apps didn't do, and that was be simple, having a minimalist interface that was efficient on screen space. It didn't need to look trendy like every other app. Now the developer is deleting posts on the app's subreddit that are about negative feedback, and leaves the fanboys to attack anyone who dares question the changes.
2 ★Just updated with a horrible new interface. New dark mode is a very light gray with no option to change it. Why fix what wasn't broken when your app can't even handle something as basic as error messages when posting comments? Focus on actually improving your app instead of pretending to do so by redesigning it randomly. You are not Facebook, you can be better.
5 ★I miss the top bar navigation (with the list of subreddits) I find the new side drawer version to be a little clunkier. But I've been using Sync for several years now and the app and support are top notch.
5 ★update: thanks for the revert. it's all back now! I'm sorry the launch doesn't appear to have the response you hoped for. :( old: the new update looks fine but you completely removed my sub sort order. i can't find anything now :(
5 ★Edit: Reinstalled and it works fine now. I liked the new design. I hope it comes back. Can't open after the most recent update. That is supposed to revert to the previous design.
1 ★Updated version 20, amazing update and flawless. Then the developer inexplicably forced the app to revert to the previous version. And no explanation in the description on the Play Store other than "more to come". Nah, bro. You don't pull some stunt like that without giving even a vague reason, especially when you're forcing people to downgrade who aren't experiencing any problems. One star review unless I hear the world's most amazing reason behind the sudden and unexplained forced downgrade.
5 ★Loved V20, just should have left the option to switch back to the old version for grumpy people. Hope to see V20.1 soon, with an option to leave the old people behind.
1 ★Quite liked the v20 redesign. It's a shame that developer gives in to a few idiots unable to set up the app as they like. Now after the "reversion" update I cannot open the app at all. Give us v20 back.
4 ★Glad the update was reverted back to the old design. The old layout is better, the pitch black is easier on the eyes than the gray "dark mode", etc.
5 ★You broke the whole thing. I lost all my setting and now nothing looks like it used to... Why did you do this? I tried classic mode also and nope still doesn't look like it used to. Edit: Great response Dev! Upping rating.
