Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★Business
2 ★Does not have the ability to Chromecast Edit... Hopefully coming in the next few months...
1 ★Not worth paying for
1 ★2/14/25: ZERO STARS! App now *demands* subscription to view articles that are presented for FREE on its internet website! Lose last two stars and now UNINSTALLED! . 8/27/24: Generally good content and reasonable advertising displays, but the app itself has three major faults: (1) too many bad links from home page to actual articles (and no work around); (2) inability to cleanly print-to-PDF articles of interest; and (3) dark-mode doesn't work correctly. Lose one star for each major shortcoming.
1 ★Years of declining app usability and legabilty, and now a paywall. Uninstalling.
4 ★Bumping my review back up to four stars because the stories are coming in so fast the kids in the graphics department don't have time to put their sticky fingers all over it. This app feels like a legitimate news source again! Minus one star because most stories contain at least one paragraph where a critically important bit of information is chopped off the end, like they missed the end of the sentence when they copy/pasted. Aside from that, reuters is once again top-notch.
1 ★After many many years using Reuters is time to go.... the paywall has ended it Uninstalled
2 ★I deleted the app before because 1) the notifications were intense even if you change your settings they come back and 2) video crashes the app. Personally, I need something I can listen to while I'm on the go so that was a big issue. I'm trying again... Fingers crossed! 5 stars for reliable factual news though!
3 ★The reporting is great, but this app is not as easy to navigate as the previous version was. However, the biggest problem is that the widget displays empty (blank) 70% of the time. I'm cancelling my monthly subscription until that is fixed.
1 ★Pay wall created a dead end for me. I have read the dev responses to this criticism and all it is is a justification for it despite nearly everyone saying it sucks. Can just open a browser and go right to the article without paying for it. How about find some other content for which viewers might be willing to pay., not the news? After changes making the interface less and less intuitive, this pay wall is the kicker. Have fun justifying instituting something that is pissing off your viewers.
