4 ★Hootsuite is great, It gets the job done. I like the publisher/calendar view and having the different stream views. I can see when people interact with the post. And I can interact back. I currently have more experience with the desktop version. My only complaint is that sometimes when on the desktop version it's finicky about who I can tag. I end up having to publish the post, then go on the platform it was published on, edit the post and do the tagging. This may not be the case on the App.
3 ★Great for Facebook and Twitter. But when I post to Instagram, I get a warning that Instagram will scale the image resolution, with no option to turn this notification off. I don't need to be notified every time. I already know. Also, the app won't accept Instagram images that are already cropped to a 4:5 ratio. Even cropping images in the app doesn't work. I need to crop images to less than 4:5, using a separate app, before I import them into Hootsuite.
5 ★Easy to use, very dependable, it's perfect for planning ahead, tracking activity, and for being able to separate your personal vs. Business notifications and account information. I've been using it for about a yearnow and it has not failed me yet and provided copy-protected artwork. I will stick with HootSuite as long as it is is free. I would not mind even sitting through a stupid advertising video just to be able to continue to use this product. I am PR for a Federal Credit Union & a <3 it
3 ★Gets the job done. Not a fan of these high priced monthly social media fees. Also not a fan of them counting every page you manage as a separate account. Scheduling posts is super easy although it limits Instagram posts to 5mb images even though if you use the Instagram app it takes sizes much larger than that. As a photographer, having to downgrade my image quality is not ideal.
4 ★I've used Hootsuite to manage many companies social media's, & it's an invaluable tool. The one feature I've been waiting for, is an Instagram grid planning section. It would be awesome to be able to see the how the current scheduled posts will appear on the grid. The last feature is a month overview page, toggling back and forth between months takes up a lot of my time and a monthly view would definitely help with that issue
1 ★This tool worked poorly. I had a lot of trouble scheduling Twitter posts, especially on the desktop version. Very few scheduled, but they posted fine. On desktop, it was difficult to change the date or time on a post, whether that was a draft or just to schedule it later. Some posts disappeared when I changed the time or date. Many kept getting an error message and wouldn't schedule. Drafts wouldn't schedule, either. I'm uninstalling and trying another social media management platform.
5 ★I used this app when I helped do advertising for a small locally owned boutique and it helped me organize and plan my social media posts with ease. Especially around the holidays when we had tons of promos. Now I use it for my direct sales business for the same thing. I can post to multiple sites at once without jumping around. I totally totally recommend
1 ★Update: Just found out the app no longer supports publishing to personal profile. I will more than likely be uninstalling the app because that's what I mainly need it for. Using for Facebook. The app will not allow me to post to my main profile. It only allows me to post to my "Page". It gives an error: An unexpected error occurred (4271). I have uninstalled/reinstalled but nothing. If this glitch is ever fixed, I will give 5 stars. Will continue to troubleshoot.
5 ★I work for a real estate office and was having to make one ad and the copy/paste it to all platforms and it was time consuming to try to remember each day to schedule an advertisement or announcement. Hootsuite has saved me so much time by streamlining the process for me. I can able to schedule weeks in advance and not have to worry about it. Each ad posts per schedule and I really like the weekly reports showing us the which ads, times and content perform the best so we can adjust accordingly.
1 ★Incompetent customer service. My account was charged but something glitched and all I can access is the free account attributes. Been in an endless email exchange just trying to get access to the services I paid for. Looking to switch to a competitor but can't even get my money back. Great first time customer experience 😑😑😑😑
3 ★Connecting Facebook is a pain. Posting videos is annoying at times.And you can't choose a cover to a video before posting. I wish there was an option to turn off comments from Hootsuite or post to the stories at the same time. When you use a link you should be able to select that image. Maybe you can do these things and I just haven't learned how. To not have a the free version it seems the only perk I have is I can add more accounts but not any features from the social media platforms.
2 ★This app has double posted on more than one occasion. It also keeps showing the same preview image for some posts from an article we posted a month ago for a client. This app has a lot of bugs and is ultimately leading us away from the service. Also, you can post to a professional Instagram account for a celebrity or political person. They require it to be a business Instagram account. Guess they don't know how difficult it is to change those accounts.
