2 ★The app and concept is good. It's however pointless to leave reviews as they're not publicly visible. Many shops abuse the system and sell food for full price, and since you pay in advance and can't cancel, you're screwed. As such, I recommend the concept behind Karma, but not Karma itself, until these shortcomings are rectified.
2 ★I strongly disagree with the decision to start posting meals at full price - this is not what I use this app for, and it does not help prevent wasting food. It detracts companies from posting discounted meals (which are to be wasted), highly reducing the incentive to actually save food from being wasted. It's already oversaturating my feed with full price meals. No. Just greedy. UPDATE and now the Karma fee is increased "based on user feedback", yeah right, based on greed is more like it.
5 ★It's such a brilliant concept. Shops and restaurants sign up and they list food that they would be throwing out that night if it's not sold but for a hugely marked down price so people are saving money and we are also stopping unneeded food waste and the restaurant/shop makes money on stuff they would normally throw out. It's a win win concept. I absolutely love it.
2 ★Most of the stuff on here is full price it constantly says full price. Why is that? I love the idea of the app, but I don't think the restaurants realise the point of it. It would be nice if someone checked on whether or not they are following the 1/2 price discount. For now they are using it as a pickup deliveroo app.
5 ★Love this app, such a win-win! I buy food at a discount and prevent it from going to waste. Selection of places is not huge yet but super good value nonetheless. I use it every other day to buy dinner or lunch. The trick is to collect at off peak hours. Highly recommend to both eco-warriors and compulsive savers!
4 ★I absolutely love the concept and I highly recommended this app! Many locations around Stockholm are registered on Karma and cheap food is waiting to be rescued every single day. I do not give the last star because there is no search bar in my version of the app, so I cannot type the name of the locations I am looking for.
3 ★I was hoping that this app would be useful for obtaining unused food items in the US, but I was mistaken. for those who may be interested in downloading this app, there is only one place in the entirety of the United States listed on the app, so if you are a US user, I highly recommend looking into another app, as for the developers, hopefully they read this, I would love to see an app like this take off in America.
4 ★Great initiative and a great app. I hope there are more users and food providers in the future to combat the serious ussue of food waste. Only complaint is that sometimes the app is not responding well and getting stuck on the payment page. Hope these minor issues are sorted quickly.
4 ★Love this app, have used it so many times and recommended it to other people! I would rate it 5 stars but it can be very glitchy ie. Crashes when looking at the map, not loading when not connected to WiFi. Great concept and if the couple of issues get fixed will definitely give 5 stars!
1 ★Useless. Price "with discount" is lie. I know the average meal price and I see, that they just put double price from normal and then do "discount". I am often ordering from restaurants take aways on full price - I am happy to pay. But when you say it's discount and it's not - this is cheating. I think only one restaurant was showing real discount - itsu. But I knew about it without apps.
3 ★The refresh and updates on places selling is not very quick. I get push notifications my favorite place is selling, but it not listed in the map, nor in tab selling. However, if I enter the place there are items for sale. Not very user friendly. Also some places are listed as ongoing sale, but they are sold out, hence not ongoing 🙄
2 ★The app itself has a good idea, with poor execution. It's extremly slow and buggy at times. To top things off, you pay 3 SEK for each purchace, which sometimes is well above 10% of the item you're buying. I'll remove my card and uninstall this, maybe I'll check it out in the future to see things have improved.
