Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★When I try and mark a task as complete, it chokes on the command for forever and a day, even with a strong WiFi connection. Sometimes it wont mark the task at all, and I don't even notice. Sometimes it will double mark a task if I am waiting like 20 seconds and press it again. I don't expect perfection, but its quite buggy. Keep a pen and paper as a backup to make sure you mark off what you did. I feel like the end of Habitica is coming
3 ★I'm also one which has used this app off and on. Love the ability to really customize habits, to dos and "dallies" I have yet to run across another app that is free that allows this kind of freedom. I just found out about the removal of the social aspect 😦 I personally think that was really the cherry on top and really distinguished it compared to other apps/services. The fact you could meet other like-minded people who are also using the lense of gaming for motivation? No Brainer imo 🤷🏾‍♀️
4 ★I really like the concept of this app, the style, the features, and it has done its part in motivating my studies and organizing my life. However, the app needs some serious redesigning. The layout is difficult to navigate and the chat function is almost useless. The way challenges are organized could also use improvement. All in all, I like using it (make an account a month ago), but the functionality needs to be improved
3 ★The concept is great and it's a fun way to keep track of your habits. My only gripes are: -I wish there was a better way to see habit streaks. The number is cool but if we could see it on a calendar like view I think that would be helpful. You could miss a day and if streaks aren't set to reset the number remains unchanged. -Better explanation of the colors on streaks. I still don't know what they mean (going to Google it). -You can't use rogue skills because you get a blue screen.
2 ★I loved the concept until the app started crashing. It doesn't work on iOS or Android, either. When I had tried everything else I could do to fix the problem, I uninstalled and reinstalled it. The app still didn't work. I've only managed to use it on PC, where I originally started using it. Something is wrong with the app, it shouldn't be doing this.
4 ★Decent app. I would like a history section to see a streak or see an upcoming task so I could do it earlier if I have more time today than tomorrow to do it. I would also like a feature where tasks can carry over. For example, say I set a daily to clean the bathroom toilet every 5 days. If I missed it in 5 days, I want it to move instead of disappearing. Otherwise I won't know to clean it until day 10. Better than the average habit/task tracking app.
4 ★love the idea! but the execution is kind of clumsy. there's little to no guidance with regard to how parties or challenges work, and the rewards seem to be random at best. the graphics are adorable and the app definitely has potential though! but it would be more user friendly to streamline the app because it can be overwhelming with so many choices and options (i.e. mounts, food, eggs, etc) that seem mostly arbitrary.
1 ★Used to be one of the best task managing apps out there, even without the gamified features. The biggest selling point was its online community as you could connect with people and hold each other accountable. Unfortunately, due to a falling out with their volunteer mod team a few months back, they've now removed almost all social features. I can no longer recommend habitica.
3 ★Very useful app. A couple of things that I don't like is that (1) it is designed around being in a party to complete quests (doing them solo takes quite a bit of time and the reward to time spent ratio is too low; still feasible though), and (2) don't really get a chance to earn enough gold to buy stuff that would be useful. The app doesn't clarify how to balance the latter with custom rewards.
5 ★The instant gratification of getting xp is super motivating, but more importantly, this is the only productivity app I've found that doesn't seem to be geared to people who work creatively full time or have a white collar job. It's super alienating to read about how an app will help me meet deadlines or check my email. Habitica isn't like that; it's for everyone.
3 ★Love the app. Love the rewards. But, I wish that it showed you past dates and all you accomplished on days previous, and I wish that the coloring of tasks wasn't so complicated when getting close to red or blue or whatever. Also, certain things are hard to navigate... but overall, I absolutely love this app. Use it every day. Not so much for challenges or battles, but for habit making and to do's.
1 ★Server issues ended up draining about 125% of my battery today, 45% of the day's phone useage with an activity of "less than 1m," presumably due to the home screen widget. Between that and the strange choices of the staff lately (removing all the community features that made this app stand out), I'll be moving to Offline Notepad. As someone who's used Habitica since 2014, let me suggest you find something less fiddly; stability has been an issue with Habit RPG/now Habitica since the beginning.
