Kanji Study aims to be a helpful and easy-to-use tool for learning Japanese kanji. The app includes SRS, flashcards, multiple choice quizzes, writing challenges, kanji and word search, custom sets and much more. Kanji Study hopes to be your essential companion for mastering kanji.The app is not entirely free; however, the free version has no ads and offers unlimited study of beginner kanji, radicals, hiragana and katakana. The dictionary and all info screens are also free and unrestricted. The one-time upgrade unlocks the remaining kanji levels and allows you to create your own custom sets. It also supports the continued development of this project.

5 ★Very very very good app, a lot of stuff you get without the paid version!! I wonder if it has all kanjis in the free version? Is the paid version only to get the extra exercises?
5 ★This form of study app is best for a diligent linguist focused on learning Japanese and dedicated to do so to completion. All the tools are here. There should be no reason why you wouldn't know at least a year's worth of Japanese if you are consistent with this app for at least 6 months to a year.
2 ★Please add the ability to draw kanji when searching in the app itself. I don't want to download gboard just for that. That's just plain annoying and unnecessary.
1 ★My purchase keep getting reverted and I need to keep reinstalling, despite my progress is not lost, my settings are, so annoying.
4 ★Excellent app in pretty much every way. Only problem is that I don't get my daily reminder notifications 9/10 times. Mildly frustrating to lose a streak because of that.
5 ★best kanji app I've ever come by, very useful and affordable. I'd recommend learning the basics from an app like Duolingo, just for basic learning — hiragana, katakana + basic sentence formation, and once you're done with that use this app and you're good to go
5 ★Amazing app to learn Kanjis at your pace! The free version gives you a good understanding of how the app works and helps you with remembering Kanjis. The only gripe I have is that the paid extensions could be presented in a better way that does not confuse the user. I ended up paying an extension which I would need much further in my learning experience and not so soon. But at least it's a one off payment
5 ★Recent update from 8 Feb 2025 has a bug that refreshes every few minutes the "Don't break you streak" and the "You have x Kanji ready for review" push notifications. Got in touch with Chase who helped resolve the issue the following day. 5 stars
