2 ★I rarely don't have a problem with this app when I decide to try it. Prices are higher than they are actually in store. Or the app bugs out and fails to handshake with the store I ordered from, or stops loading on my side altogether after I place my order. It keep this around for emergencies only, but getting my own groceries will always be superior at this rate.
2 ★Formerly decent, app now literally unusable on my older phone. Slow, buggy, unresponsive, switches screens or pops up distractions. Desktop browser website also slow, buggy, frustrating. Shopping used to required about = time to in person; now much slower. Safeway website much faster, easier, & cheaper to use. Good: ability to leave notes for shoppers, text during shopping, quality shoppers.
1 ★Some shoppers deserve a 0 seriously. I had a Keyfood delivery, tipped $25, the site showed everything in stock, yet the shopper marked most things out of stock. I also included alternatives, but those were ignored. Not even a thank you for the tip or a thank you when bringing the items. Barely knocked on the door. Back to shopping in person. Oh, and for some reason, the app and website always decides to refresh when I am choosing alternatives. So I have to restart from scratch.
2 ★The app worked fine and I was going to use it instead of the store app since they use Instacart anyway. I changed my mind when I saw that the exact same items were at least $.50 to $1 more and a lot of the coupons/sales didn't translate to Instacart. Even with a $40 off coupon, it was cheaper just to order through the store app. Disappointed 😞
1 ★Too many fees & Instacart keeps your money for stuff missing. Being offer a credit to my instacart account is ridiculous. It means I am forced to place another order in order to get my money back. I already paid $100 a year for this service, plus your ridiculous "maintenance fees" on every order. As a disabled person that adds up to a lot of money. If there is an issue I should have been offered a refund to my debit card for any overcharges or money back for missing items. Walmart+ is better.
5 ★I've used Instacart for years. There's been issues with shoppers wrong items/order, missing items or not delivering an order but instacart always gives me a refund when I contact them. If the items aren't in stock, that's life. It's true instacart charges extra on each order. It's meant to cover any item swaps or last minute add ons. The money, if you don't spend it, goes back into your account. If prices aren't making sense, update the app. Instacart isn't an online shopping site like Amazon.
2 ★I don't blame Instacart but I do wish they had enough shoppers, put an order in at 8:30a.m. and I'm still waiting for the order to get started at 8:30 at night. I'll never use the app again, been feeling sick so the order would have been tremendously appreciated but nothing. No updates, no notice, never again!! First experience and it sucked. I did call them and was on the phone for over an hour, she finally found someone, but an hour later still nothing.
2 ★App used to be much better. Seems that every shopper gets assigned multiple orders at the same time. This pretty much always results in poor customer service and poor quality items from the store or straight up missing items or items you didn't order. As far as I am aware shoppers and customers do not like the double and triple batches so STOP doing it Instacart. Your subscription service is getting less and less worth it and I consider cancelling it regularly
4 ★I like this app, but they just removed (or hid?) one of my favorite features. Used to be able to create your own saved lists under the "buy it again" tab. It was fantastic; it helped me to not forget regular weekly items, like coffee cream. I'm not going to create another order because I forgot 2 items, I'll have to just stop by the store - which defeats the whole purpose. There's also a recipe section which has been fun! Great app! Just bring back our saved lists please <3
1 ★My last two orders have been delivered with major components missing. Customer service claims they don't have any way to contact drivers once an order is completed in order to have them drop off missing things. In both instances, it has been a major ingredient to a recipe that they have checked out, charged me for, and then not included in delivery. No point in using this app if I'm just going to have to go to the store myself anyway.
1 ★The delivery service itself is fine, but the app is terrible. Largely because there's no way to opt out of marketing notifications and only get notifications for your actual orders. There is an option to disable it in settings but even with it disabled you still get several marketing notifications a week. Also would be nice to have a dark mode.
1 ★My orders are constantly picked by someone then canceled then rescheduled for the next day, Im often at work. I never get what I ordered, shoppers pick replacements without asking when I had selected "refund" if it's out of stock. I have to pay a long distance fee for each order which is fine however not getting what I ordered, being out the money and then having to drive 40 min 1 way to the store to get the things that are missing and pay again is completely defeting the purpose.
