मेजर सुनील दत्त द्विवेदी का जन्म 19जून 1965 को फर्रुखाबाद में हुआ था। इनके पिता का नाम स्वर्गिय ब्रह्मदत्त द्विवेदी था। इन्होने कानपुर विश्वविद्यालय से बीएससी किया और मुंबई विश्वविद्यालय से कानून की डिग्री हासिल की। मेजर सुनील दत्त द्विवेदी जी ने भारतीय सेना में मेजर रैंक तक सेवाएं दी उसके पश्चात आर्मी से अवकाश प्राप्त कर माता-पिता की निशां पर चलते हुए क्षेत्र की जनता की सेवा करने का फैसला किया।
पारिवारिक स्थितियां-
मेजर सुनील दत्त द्विवेदी जी को राजनीति बचपन से ही सीखने को मिली या यूं कहे कि इनका जन्म राजनीति के हवन कुंड से ही हुआ। इनके पिताजी भी भारतीय जनता पार्टी के कुशल कार्यकर्ता के रुप में कार्य कर चुकें है। इनके पिता श्री ब्रह्मदत्त द्विवेदी जी उत्तरप्रदेश भाजपा सरकार 1991 में केबिनेट मंत्री के ओहदे पर रह चुके है। पिताजी के साथ माताजी श्रीमति प्रभा द्विवेदी जी भी 1997 में उत्तरप्रदेश भाजपा सरकार में केबिनेट मंत्री का जिम्मा संभाल चुकी है। ऐसी स्थिती में मेजर सुनील दत्त द्विवेदी जी भी माता-पिता की नक्शेकदम पर चलकर क्षेत्र की जनता की सेवा कर रहे है।
मेजर सुनील दत्त द्विवेजी जी को साहित्य, संस्कृति, अभिनय, संवाद अदायगी, और गायन में खासी रुची है। इसके साथ ही वे विभिन्न खेलों में भी उत्कृष्ट खिलाड़ी रहे है।
राजनीतिक जीवन-
मेजर सुनील दत्त द्विवेदी जी भारतीय जनता पार्टी के कुशल कार्यकर्ता है। 2007 और 2012 उत्तरप्रदेश विधानसभा चुनाव में इन्होने पार्टी के लिए सरहानिय कार्य किया। पार्टी ने 2007 और 2012 में उत्तरप्रदेश की फर्रुखाबाद विधानसभा सीट से इन्हे प्रत्याशी घोषित किया। इन्होने उत्तरप्रदेश भाजपा संगठन में राज्य सचिव, दो बार पुर्व सर्विसमेन सेल के अध्यक्ष और श्रम सलाहकार बोर्ड के चैयरमैन पद पर कार्य कर चुके है।
वर्तमान में मेजर सुनील दत्त द्विवेदी जी उत्तरप्रदेश भाजपा में सुरक्षा सेल के राज्य संय़ोजक की जिम्मेदारी देख रहे है साथ ही उत्तरप्रदेश भाजपा कार्यकारिणी के सद्स्य भी है।
सामाजिक कार्य-
मेजर सुनील दत्त द्विवेदी जी ने क्षेत्र की जनता के लिए कई सामजिक सरोकार से जुड़े कार्य किए। इन्होने जेल, मशाल जूलूश, बाढ़ राहत कार्य, जरुरत के समय जनता में दवा वितरण का कार्य, जरुरतमंदों को कंबल वितरण, साहित्यकारों का सम्मान, शिक्षा क्षेत्र के लोगों का सम्मान, राज्य सरकार की अवांछनिय गतिविधियों के खिलाफ धरना प्रदर्शन जैसे कई सामाजिक व लोकहित के कार्य संपादित किये।
