5 ★OneNote is a flexible tool that's so far worked flawlessy for me across different platforms. I think it's particularly well suited if you tend to think of your information in a hierarchical way, but you can also cross-link notes and use tags and such. The type of information you can include in a note is robust (text, images, maps, etc) so that you could use OneNote in a lot of different ways. For me it's mainly been a Google Keep replacement, but also have started using at work.
1 ★Used to love this app, but it's the worst when you're trying to move around or resize a picture. If you're done type text on a page before putting a photo in after it, you are unable to move the photo down later and add text in front of it. Then it'll start glitching so bad you can't even click between photos and text. It really makes me want to move all my files elsewhere and delete the app. Update: now you cannot upload photos at all
2 ★Usually I really like OneNote. But I think something changed with the last update and now I have a hard time seeing page content on Android app. You cannot resize the window anymore so any indentations send a very long column of a couple letters per line way down the page and you cannot resize it. This makes the app on Android almost unusable. Not sure that I will continue using it if this is how it's going to stay. Microsoft, please fix this issue. It makes the phone app very difficult to use.
2 ★I love OneNote, but something changed water the last update. I now have problems viewing pages on my Android phone. The scaling is not right. I have a background template installed that shows up too small on my phone, and then when I open it on my tablet or PC, the new scaling is saved and I cannot resize it. This scaling issue does not occur when I use OneNote for Android on my tablet. Please fix!!
4 ★Delighted to finally see the changes made to the note pages' scaling. However, it still lacks a bit of precision, which is the %tage keeps changing even if you fixed it at a preferred one. An example is, setting your page scaling to 100%, it will automatically drop to 99%, and I'll suggest you check up on that.
4 ★Please make a dedicated Sticky Notes app (or at least a widget). One Note seems like a full-featured and capable note-taking app, but I mostly use it because I regularly use Sticky Notes, and so far as I can find, there is no dedicated app for that. Even just adding a Sticky Notes widget or shortcut to One Note would make the experience more convenient. I've long wondered why Microsoft keeps such a convenient app locked within other confines. It deserves to be its own app.
4 ★I use OneNote as my go to for my knowledge base (household, cars, all kinds of general information), years ago switched over from Evernote. It seemesly permits me to access this information on any platform, here always available on my Android smartphone. It seems to get stuck typing in a particular font (bold, underline, italics etc.) and it's hard to change back on the handheld. Otherwise, this app is indispensable.
5 ★I've been using OneNote on my laptop since I was in high school. I've organized my personal journals, academic notes and book drafts. I love the ease at which I can find everything I need - and the mobile phone makes it even easier!! My favorite feature is the dictation mode. Now I can "write" my idea down before I forget it even if my hands are busy!
1 ★Update 2023-10-10 - Almost unbelievably bad at synchronizing notes between mobile app and laptop. Either partial sync, no sync, or sync with errors that cannot be corrected without a laptop. Infuriating. The app's "Home" page still displays notebooks and pages that I've long-ago permamently deleted. There's no option to clear this history, which is actually pretty concerning that MS still has this data stored somewhere...
3 ★Still evalutating, so far unable to delete 3rd tier note titles. No delete function to be found. Its missing!! The functionality seems to be missing in certain parts of the MSN Note app. Right now, I give you a 3 until I can understand the navigational changes you made from the last verison. You did this without any advertising warning that the new verison has added & missing festures. Good business would warn (Inform) the consumers.
5 ★It is very easy to use and helps me enormously in the store. l made a master grocery list. Now, all I need to do is transfer my items to the next shopping list that I created and check them off as I shop. There is no more paper list to lose in the store, which I have had to backtrack my steps because I laid my list down on a shelf somewhere while putting something in my cart. Thank you for making my shopping experience easier!
4 ★I moved from the iphone version to the Android due to a phone change that I could not control. The only change I would ask in the android version is allowing for New Times Roman. Since I am a researcher and writer I have to go into the windows version atnthebend of every day and change all the fonts before I publish it elsewhere. Would make for a nice shortcut. Otherwise it's a great app. Thanks.
