Die BachApp ist eine praktische und informative App für alle, die sich gerne rund um Rhein, Wiese und Birs aufhalten.Sie enthält:
- Gewässerinformationen: Aktuelle Messdaten (Wassertemperatur, Pegel- und Abflussverlauf (inkl. Prognosen) zu Rhein, Wiese und Birs
- Karte: Die Karte ist filterbar und enthält praktische Hinweise zu Orten rund um die Flüsse, so bspw. zu den empfohlenen Schwimmbereichen, WCs, Essen & Trinken, Grillstellen und mehr.
- Infos: Neben interessanten Fakten zum Rhein, erfährt man hier, welche Events rund um den Rhein anstehen und wo es Baustellen gibt.
- Am Fluss: Diese Rubrik beantwortet häufige Fragen, stellt diverse Wassersportarten vor und informiert zum rücksichtvollen Miteinander (#RHYLAX) sowie zum Naturschutz.
Die Mehrheit der in der App verfügbaren Messwerte und Informationen fliessen über das kantonale Datenportal (https://data.bs.ch) in die BachApp. So kann sichergestellt werden, dass die Informationen jederzeit dem aktuell verfügbaren Stand entsprechen. Darüber hinaus stehen die Daten auf diese Weise auch als offene Behördendaten (OGD) unter https://data.bs.ch/explore/?q=tags=BachApp der Öffentlichkeit im Internet zur Verfügung.
Das Projekt entspringt einer Smart-City-Initiative der Kantons-und Stadtentwicklung, die dazu mit den Entwicklern Tizian Hösch und Andreas Stebler, dem Sportamt, dem Tiefbauamt sowie der Fachstelle für Open Government Data zusammengearbeitet hat.
