How does this app record calls?

When you're on a call and you want to record it, open TapeACall and press the record button. We will put your call on hold and dial our recording line. As soon as our line answers use the merge calls button on your screen to create a single 3-way conference call between your other caller and our recording line.
If you want to record an outgoing call, just press the record button. The app will dial our recording line and will begin recording as soon as our line answers. Once that happens, place another call to the person you want to record, then press the merge calls button on your screen when they answer to create a single conference call that's recorded!

How do I know if I have conference calling on my phone?
Conference calling is available on almost every phone carrier around the world. Some carriers around the world may not enable this feature by default, but will enable it for your phone if you simply call their customer service and ask.

1 ★I purchased TapeACall to record interviews with touring musicians. The first interview I did was with a famous rock star. Throughout the interview, there was a beep every minute. I hadn't been warned anywhere by the app makers that this feature would need to be turned off. The second interview I did didn't record at all, in spite of all the steps being followed perfectly. When I asked TapeACall for a refund, they said to ask the Play Store. I contacted the Play Store and they said I need to talk to the app makers. I do not recommend this product at all.
5 ★***update*** received SUPER prompt response to my customer service request, thank you for excellent follow through! I love love love tape a call, but since the last update, I've been having MAJOR issues. It will tell me its processing my recording for the whole day and then either not record or won't load the message. I have been a happy user for a long time and never had any problems until recently.
5 ★This works by setting up a conference call, which is a great workaround for phones that don't let you record the incoming line. It also means your recording is stored in the cloud. I do tons of interviews for my job & love this. // Downside of subscriptions being tied to your phone number: it won't recognize you if you call with a Google voice number rather than your carrier number. There's a workaround though: install "Voice Choice". Upside: I paid for pro on iphone, don't have to re-buy on Android!
