3 ★Does not work since the last update. It was great before the update. Now it does not have any of the game audio and crashes periodically. **correction, works after uninstall and reinstall. Needs a purchase model and a way to separate content from marvel run. Too bloated now.
1 ★I was a legacy member, this app did a lot for me over the decade, but I've just had to cancel. They just gave up on the original story and pushed this new junk, can't buy races anymore so I'm out of those and friends that only did the virtual races are just alienated. If it works you end up stuck in a mission as well. I no longer recommend this app and am looking for something to replace it.
4 ★I never review stuff, but I love this app. The missions are fun and I look forward to each next episode, especially with zombie chase mode on. Adds extra adrenaline. And I love that you can play your own music! The only qualm I have is with the step counting tech really, and the odd run length tracking that I have to fix each time. But honestly I can't expect that to be perfect, since it's so variable. Great app, would recommend!
1 ★Update is no good. Stuck in chase mode forever, so perhaps the new zombies are just more fit than they used to be. Couldn't finish the workout with the constant beeping so i had to close the app. Please fix the app or at the very least let me know that I need to up my endurance to keep the zombies away. I prefer it when someone is vocal about fit shaming me, rather than taking the passive aggressive route. Thank you for your time. Maybe one where I could chase the zombies. Be pretty cool js 😎
3 ★... after months of hype over Marvel Move, it crashes everytime I try to play it, and after trying to get that to work and giving up, my favorite run has reset, so now I can't play it for another 6 days. Some of the non-zombie runs are really good, like the deep one and white out. I wish they'd do more like white out. I was really excited to try the Loki run today. :/ also wish they would fix the base building aspect; it could be an awesome mechanic, but it looks like trash.
1 ★I have auto-update off and was experiencing some minor stickiness with settings, so I decided to try updating. How did it make my problems worse!? Straight up didn't play the run I selected, and it's just so cluttered looking UI-wise. Thought maybe it was just an issue on my end, but all the other reviews say the same thing, so I was very displeased to find this to be a widespread issue. Yikes.
5 ★I've been using this app for well over 3 years now. Let me just say that it will keep you modivated to run. If you're stuck indoors they have a few missions for that as well so you never have to worry about not being able to exersise. One important note is how they monetized the app. What they did is you get all of Home Front (indoor workout) and a few missions free when you first install the app then allow you to unlock one new mission a week. Think of the first few missions as a trial.
5 ★I'm leading a double life. In my off time, I'm Runner 5 helping my apocalyptic camp by collecting supplies and searching for answers to the zombie infection and it's done wonders for my pace! The story and characters are immersive, the chases are scary and motivating. I love the pro membership with the ability to customize my interval training. Optimal for outdoor running but entertaining for the monotony of the treadmill. I can't wait to try the races! I wish the merch was a little more affordable. I'm hooked and want to spread the word.
5 ★This app has made me run consistently like nothing else. There was a turning point in my brain during season 1 where I started thinking "I have to go running today so I can find out what happens next!" IMO, totally worth a subscription to show my support to these awesome writers and to be able to move through the episodes as fast or as slow as you want. (Also, please quit killing off my favorite characters. Tears are not conducive to successful jogging.)
3 ★Phenomenal app, shotty at tracking and consistently awarding supplies. Tracking only works well if the screen is on constantly and the phone is in your hand. Once the screen is off, like my run today for example, it tracks NOTHING. I've had this happen a number of times now and it is what I see as the largest oversight in this app. Investment in the app financially and because of the storyline is the only reason I don't trade up this app for something else. Fix this and you'll get 5 stars.
5 ★This app has been a fantastic way for me and my partner and friends to bond over exercising. Being excited about episodes, theorizing about plot events, and keeping ourselves accountable has been as great thing for both of us. I don't know if I'd be able to stick with it if my friends and I weren't excited about the story. The 5K app is also fantastic for training us and easing us into being able to run a 5k. It's really wonderful; I feel really grateful that apps like this exist!!
3 ★For those looking for an app that gets you to run and give you an awesome audiobook-like story, this app is for you. My main complaint about this app is that it pings my GPS location when I'm not using it...which is strange and suspicious, especially since you're required to give the app full GPS permissions (meaning it can access your location running in the background when you're not using it) just so you can use the GPS tracking function while on a run.
