5 ★This is the only useful mobile GIS app for Android tablet that I know of. It has kml and shapefile capability, with import, editing and export functions, and live or imported imagery. It is all logically organised and easy to use. It was a bonus to discover that it is an Australian product, and the technical support has been excellent.
5 ★Mappt focuses on the functions really necessary for data capturing in the field, so is therefore easy and fast to use. With the Android platform, we can use maps with Sony Xperia Z Tab devices, which are much cheaper and lighter than field-specific computers. Another advantage is the compatibility to ArcGIS and many other formats of geospatial-related data. We can offer our customers immediate data delivery without wasting time for GIS-work at the desk.
5 ★Mappt is surprisingly sophisticated, given its simple and intuitive interface. This will certainly give my other field mapping software a run for its money, and Mappt is cheaper too!
