A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★As many others are saying this was an amazing app for offline maps and tracking locations. Now it's painful to use with too many updates changing its versatility. None of the support documents are updated but they want you to upgrade to pro...why? Just because you can change it for what you think is better...just look at your reviews...I love change and am in IT and even I am saying this has gone in the wrong direction. Negative stars are not possible so one was sadly given.
2 ★I haven't been using it in a while (less traveling) and I feel it has taken a step back since my last review. It tried to get me to take the exit ramp off the great to get right back onto the on-ramp over and over for at least every exit we passed. That's plain dangerous and useless, especially when the freewayvtraffic was smooth. Why should I pay $3 a month for lower quality than what I get for free from Google, including some if the "Pro" features like current speed limit?
1 ★Change their business model to a subscription. I purchased this app for all my devices Android and iOS. At the time there where no additional fees, ads or subscriptions. Now this app has ads and to get rid of them you have to pay a monthly subscription. They changed the rules in the middle of the game, I'm deleting it from all my devices. This app works offline after you download maps. Searching for an address is not good. You can import KMZ files, such as places you've mark in Goolge Maps.
1 ★Sad to write this review after so many years of using this app. Good replacement app: Offline Organic Maps. Recent maps.me updates have paywalled basic features like how many maps you can have downloaded at once which completely negates the point of an offline maps program if you have a big trip planned where you won't have cell signal. After years of free use, paywalling with no warning is unacceptable. Not to mention the updates make the UI far less usable, totally aside from the cost.
3 ★I'm very frustrated by the latest update. When opening the app, it always auto-zooms to the same location, where I happened to be two months ago rather than my most recent location. I either need to zoom and pan or wait two minutes to get a GPS fix. Also when previewing a route, the start button covers the trail profile. If you try to swipe the huge menu out of the way to preview the route, the route now disappears. I love the app, hate the updates.
2 ★Terrible updates I'm using maps.me almost since it was publicly released. Used it for every trek, every trip, every travel. Even when I lost all bookmarks due to an update I continued to use it and recommend to everyone. I just entered to download map of another country I'm going to and a bad surprise... I'm over free limit with previously downloaded maps. Also recent updates are annoying. Auto car mode, start button coveting info, navigation tab for half of the screen... Bad, bad, bad
2 ★I used to love this app, but with the latest updates it's more buggy than ever. It started renaming previous pins. I now have 8 pins in 1 group with the same name. It also "forgets" pins that I've made (it deletes them on its own). Sometimes it won't save changes They also started making a "limit" to how many pins you can have without upgrading to the "PRO" version. They're taking away what made this app great, which was its intuitiveness, customizability and being free. Miss the old version.
3 ★Has some UI usability issues. While doing a search on a street, it's very unresponsive when I press on the street that has already come up in the search results. Also, no way to enter a street number. Which seems pretty basic and shocking that it doesn't allow user to specify a street number! Disappointing. I just spent 20 minutes trying to enter in the address of a location. Suggest you hire some UI designers and product managers to do a better job redesigning this app, to be user friendly and make it easy for users to do simple things, like actually entering in an address! In response to Developer's "fixing" the 2 missing EXAMPLE addresses I listed, that's like a drop in the ocean. The problem is NOT simply that it couldn't locate the 2 EXAMPLE addresses I listed. The problem is deeper. It was unable to properly locate an arbitrary, VALID, address. This is something Google Maps can do EASILY. Based on this rather GLARING defect, I think this largely makes this app unusable for general purpose navigation..
1 ★Frustrated that Google Maps only shows restaurants nearby. This appears to have the same distance limit in restaurant searches- it only shows restaurants as far out as a mile or so. There was also a text box advertising it's subscription service that loaded on open. Google maps has offline maps and a Share feature. This is, as far as I can tell, the exact same material I get using the free app that I wanted this to replace.
2 ★Great app for offline maps when in places where you have no access to a data plan and/or wireless. Extremely detailed maps which show more than just roadways, but also local attractions, various land types, parking lots, and even some trails within parks. Unfortunately, their recent unannounced download limit for free users is just plain awful (10 maps is way too few for general use). They are only getting 2 stars (instead of 1) because previously downloaded maps can still be updated.
2 ★I want to love this app, but can't. Searching has too many problems: locations don't return results, and switching between map/list view makes some entries disappear. I love the spirit of this app, but without reliable search, I cant use it. UPDATE: I worked with support for 3 separate bugs. They were pleasant and prompt, but 2 of the issues remain, and they are deal-breakers for me. I genuinely look forward to using this app in a year or two when its more reliable.
1 ★CONS: - I paid for the app way back when you had to purchase it. Some time later they made the app free but filled with ads, and now you have to buy subscription to remove the ads. This is the primary reason for 1 star rating. - Car navigation is so bad it's practically useless PROS: - Good offline map support for when you visit countries where you have no service so long as you do not need navigation - Maps include hiking trails which is very useful if you're hiking national parks and you want to check where you are on the trail. The hiking trail maps are actually better than Google's.
