EchoLink for Android provides access to the EchoLink network from your Android device. You can use this app to connect to the EchoLink system from almost anywhere, using either a WiFi or cellular (3G/4G/LTE) connection.

Access to EchoLink requires a password. If you have never used EchoLink before and you are a licensed Amateur operator, you can choose a password at startup. If you already have a password but have forgotten it, you can get a reminder at www.echolink.org/validation.

How to install EchoLink APK on Android phone or tablet?

Download EchoLink APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:

Update Phone Settings

Go to your phone Settings page
Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
Check the Unknown Sources box
Confirm with OK

Go to Downloads

Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files
Tap the APK file you downloaded (org.echolink.android-v1.8.6-ApkClean.apk)

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

2 ★Fine, when it works. The volume control is terrible, set it, it seems fine, next time a transmission is received it's full volume. Turn it down, it'll go to full volume at the next received transmission again.

3 ★I’ve been using the app for years on android and iPhone. The latest release on android will only work on Wi-fi on my android network radio. The iPhone version works fine.

5 ★Great ham app for getting into repeaters running echolink. Makes me sad I never reviewed this before. RIP W1CDM was a great guy and a good friend.

1 ★Well, maybe I'm being impatient. I log in and there isn't a single station that shows up. Customer service did respond quickly but I'm still having issues .

3 ★Good app. However if you have it on your phone don't answer calls wile signed in or your entire call will go over the repeaters. 😕

1 ★Doesn't work on new phone (Samsung S20 5G). My old phone died and just got this new one. Tried uninstalling and installing again, but can't get it to work.

1 ★Cannot login. Despite having registeted callsign app wont accept it and links to validation which has already been done. Not much good. Works on windows not on android.

5 ★Very good app which enables to make contacts with hams all over the world and also easy to connect to so many vhf repeaters directly from mobile phone.

4 ★Great Ham app. I use allot and have had many QSOs with no problems. My only wish is for the bluetooth to work other than that this a ham radio must have.

4 ★Works well. Since my young son and I both use echolink we really wish it was capable of quickly switching accounts so we could both check into nets.

3 ★It would be nice to be able to 'drag' favourites to reorder them and put the most used nodes at the top.
