Description

The app 112 Belgium is the official app for the Belgian emergency services. Once you are registered in the app, you can make an emergency call with the app for ambulance, fire department or police assistance. If you use the app, the emergency centres automatically get an indication of your location and who you are. This information is normally transmitted over internet, however, when no internet connection is available, SMS is used to transmit this information to the emergency services (the SMS destination used for this, is free of charge). 4 ★Good but you should add 1711 support for railway emergency .... Re: 1711 availability is far too long to find (other number -> End of page). It should be put with higher visibility, seen amount of railway crossing incidents ....

1 ★Heb de app een paar keer gebruikt over de jaren. Bellen doet het niet, opent de Bellen app met het nummer voorgetypt, had ik sneller zelf gedaan. Locatie en andere info doorgeven heeft nog nooit gewerkt, als ik het de operator vraag, zegt die niks te ontvangen. Al jaren krijgt elke review steevast een positief antwoord maar het zijn telkens holle woorden, er is op 7 jaar niks verbeterd of toegevoegd van alles dat mensen al hebben aangegeven. Een echt Telenet product, onze overheid waardig.

4 ★Net geïnstalleerd op aanraden van mijn broer. Evt misschien eens overwegen om bij de ICE's ook de relatie en de taal te kunnen aangeven. Zelf ben ik Nederlandstalig, maar mijn echtgenote spreekt Frans. Eveneens de mogelijkheid kunnen specificeren welke sim te gebruiken om de ICE's te contacteren. In mijn geval kennen de mijn enkel mijn privénummer, niet mijn werknummer. En tenslotte bij de More Info, mogelijkheid om gedetailleerde info te geven: aandoeningen, gebruikte, medicatie, bloedgroep,..

4 ★Kleine suggestie aan de ontwikkelaars: De app neemt de taal van de telefoon over. Ik wil mijn telefoon in het Engels gebruiken, maar de app in het Nederlands. Kunnen jullie een taalkeuze in de app toevoegen?

1 ★Edit 2022: sinds upgrade naar android 12 kan ik hulpdiensten niet meer bellen. Op icoon drukken doet niets. Basis functionaliteit ok, zeer amateuristische menu's, layout en beperkte gebruiksvriendelijkheid. Geen integratie met Android contacts /emergency info. Als je een contactpersoon toe wil voegen en je switcht naar je contact app om tel nr te kopiëren is alle contact info verloren in de app en moet je opnieuw beginnen. Werk aan de winkel!!

3 ★App is maybe not sharp/nice looking, but it is intuitive and eady to use. Most importantly it does what it is for though the operator answering an emergency call always asks name and location even though it should be forwarded by the app; so maybe this functionality is not working as it is supposed to. It would be great if support for Android Auto could be added such that you can easily call while driving in the car. (e.g. when there is an obstacle on the road).

4 ★Is this app only for deaf users? I'm interested in using it as an option in case of harassment in public transportation for instance, where the user (for example, a woman traveling alone) isn't in a position to make a phone call.
