Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

4 ★Have been homeless between houses, and without tv for months, and find this app brilliant. Sometimes a little repetitive, but so appreciate as a busy, working 61 year old, being able to keep abreast of current affairs at the touch of my phone screen. Thank you!
4 ★I enjoy getting news on this app. I also use the BBC app and Sounds and find that entertainment, current affairs and information needs are met. The best part is that Ads do not interfere.
1 ★The BBC's classification of "Breaking News" it deems worthy of giving you a notification for is really going downhill. It's starting to turn into the Daily Mail at times.
4 ★News is tailorable but headlines don't change very often in the widget. So the app is fine the widget is average. BBC world service news is very different from the domestic suite of news.
3 ★Argh! What have you done to this previously brilliant app! It seems you can no longer close the BBC summary overlay from the front page of the newspapers item on the news app. Then summary is covering part of the page. Please can we have the old feature of tapping the page to toggle the summary, then you can have the 5 star rating back again
3 ★Need to get a tighter grip on 'Breaking News' notifications. This should be kept for genuinely unexpected and important events. It's not 'breaking news' that Dominic Cummings will be appearing before a Parliamentary committee this morning. That's been known about for some time. Similarly, the recent relaxation of some Covid restrictions in accordance with a well publicised timetable was not worth a push notification from this app.
5 ★Straight up news & not full of intrusive ads. I like that when you click to read an article, there are links to other interesting reads. I also like how you can select topics that interest you, so there's a 'Your News' section. Clear print and pics. It's easy to use..
1 ★Used to be my first choice for news but now you've ruined it by adding the text at the bottom of the newspaper front pages so when you click and zoom in, that text block at the bottom covers the bottom half of the paper. Til this is sorted, I've started using another news app.
3 ★My "go to" in place of a decent news paper in the morning. Lately though all the video links fail to work. I presume as flash isn't supported anymore. The help banner suggests using a different browser, which is tricky as it's the BBC news app that I'm trying to open the link with. I don't see how this failure of embedded video in your app has become my phones fault.
4 ★Mostly excellent, but gripes are as follows: If I ever see a headline again about police 'probing' things you lose two stars. Get some decent sub-editors please. Live reports require me to read things backwards. Old articles are mixed with current. Thanks, Ron
1 ★This app was great until my phone (Nokia 8.1) updated itself to Android 11 a few days ago. Now the app refuses to open, using either WiFi or mobile data. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app; the error persists. Clearly this is a compatibility issue.
5 ★Best source of news I know of, except it does tend to miss out news about important events abroad, which could have affected anyone in Britain if they had been there ...... like earthquakes, volcanic activity, riots, major festivals, violence etc. that makes big news where it happens. In my opinion, it needs to broaden out more, and have more programmes that explain the news, like Outside Source, which is excellent, thanks to its main presenter, and also Our World.
