1 ★Have used this app for years, not anymore: for about the last 3 months its very poor, at the moment the app says its raining and dull looking out the window its sunny and not a cloud in the sky. Also when you add a location it automatically uses this as the defalt
4 ★The problem with all weather apps is the lack of clarity about what a probability percentage (%) means. When they say 54% rain, does it mean there's a 54% chance that it will rain all the time for the next hour OR it will rain for 54% of the next hour. I think it means something in between, but how do you decipher that?
2 ★You can never plan anything by using this app, as it could say fine weather all day, then suddenly change to bad weather an hour or so later ! I'm sure they just look out of the window !
5 ★Excellent forecasts and much more descriptive than the Met Office except for wind gust speeds. My only critism which also applies to the BBC television forecasts is that the description of the day's weather always applies to what is going to happen at 16.00. 16.00 is largely useless if you work outdoors or you are planning a day out. Why would I want to know what is going to happen when I get home?
1 ★Used to be an excellent and reliable app. Now keeps freezing on a blank screen when you open it. Only solution is to uninstall and reinstall the app. Please fix !
3 ★When it works, it's great! Some of the time when I open the app it just can't connect or load any weather, but then when I go onto the BBC weather website on the same device it's absolutely fine! If it consistently worked it would be 5* as great, clear and no nonsense app.
2 ★I think that perhaps the Head of Weather Forecasting at the BBC gets his or her pet dog to do the weather forecasts. It is possibly the most useless resource available today. Unless maybe you assume that the weather will be doing the exact opposite of what this app tells you it is going to be doing. Then it could be of use. But it looks nice.
1 ★Don't make any plans based on the weather forecasts from this app. As I'm writing this it is showing sun all day. However it is pissing down. If it was the first time since installing the app it would be fair enough, but it's not even the first time it has got it completely wrong this week. Use weather underground instead... much more accurate
1 ★Poor app, never accurate, forecast changes throughout the day as the weather changes. Does the bbc meteorology department just look out the window and say what's happening at that moment and consider it a forecast? The idea of a forecast is to predict the weather with at least some kind of accuracy. Can't plan anything with this app or the information you get from it. Accuweather is by far a better forecast.
5 ★I can plan my days activities, hang out washing, go for a walk, mow the lawn etc. to take the weather into account on an hourly basis. Great! But I live in Bolton where if it isn't raining it will shortly or it is so humid it might as well be. This gives me the heads up to make the best of any brief respites mother nature affords us.
5 ★It's full of information especially if you work out doors or planning a hike or shopping .a handy piece of kit to take any where. I can tell now if it's going to rain or be sunny, wind direction and the barometric reading as well as pollen count.nice to know if suffer from tree or grass pollen its about 97% accurate.
3 ★I used to trust the app but in the last few months it hasn't been that trust worthy. I look at the weather for the following week. If forecasted Sunny full sun weather, by that day it has either turned cloudy or rainy.☹️☹️
