Q: What is an APK File?

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

3 ★App going down hill, when I first used this app with was great I could buy my ticket when I wanted. But slowly over time it has started to either not be able to find the ticket I want or just doesn't work at all e.g like going to pay and it will not go through. It's a shame because I like the app and I use it at least a few times a month. Idk what is going on but sort it out or I will just go to ticket booth like I had to today.
1 ★Recently my experience has been poor. The app only allows me to make one purchase at a time before it crashes, which means I have to reinstall it every single morning. When I do buy tickets in the app, they rarely show in the tickets section and I have to go through the inconvenience of getting tickets from my email
1 ★When it works it's the best train app. However today I purchased a ticket and was unable to download the e-ticket, and there was no one at the turnstile meaning I had to tailgate... Very annoying! Edit: to the reply saying I could get the ticket via email - I am aware of this, however I bought the ticket at 10.40 for a 10.46 train. I got the email at 10.55 - so I didn't have the email or the ticket in the app. This was on the 4 December if you wanted to investigate.
1 ★Beware the 'admin fee' as mistakes will cost you. I accidentally booked a wrong ticket and despite instantly trying to change the booking it wasn't possible and I was hit with a £10 refund fee. A grace period would be fairer. I'm sure a response stating it is made clear will follow (it wasn't) and it doesn't make it right.
1 ★Worthless app that constantly double books the seats. This is the fourth or fifth time I'm left standing on the train because this stupid app sold the same seat twice. Just what you need on a long journey. Yet another reason I'm looking forward to buying a car so I can drive everywhere and leave this misery behind.
2 ★I'm very frustrated & annoyed since the most recent update! I'm trying to buy a ticket that's going through London. it isn't letting me have a QR code ticket, only a physical one. As someone who has adhd & suffers from bad travel anxiety & has had travel related panic attacks due to trying to find a physical ticket.This is not at all acceptable that you have removed this option! And it does not show anymore how long it takes to change on the tube from station to station,This further adds stress!
1 ★Trainline is one of them services that are 'OK' if you don't have any problem. As bad as the British railway system is nowadays , they refuse to refund any money even if there was a cancellation or longer than 30min delay, or they come with a massive 'admin fee' when they have to give any money away. I have pending refunds for cancellations and delays and can't get a word with them. Won't be using this service again. Absolute scammers.
1 ★Not giving full refunds for an overpriced service that's hardly ever on time or cancelled, should be a criminal offence. If you brought a defective product and you retain the receipt, automatically you will receive a refund without 'admin' fees for a computer automated system. Shame on you all, striking for more and returning nothing of value in terms of service. If I could I would sack the lot of you and implement driverless trains. Cheaper reliable service for all, without the greed.
1 ★"Something's off track. We're usually good for getting you from A to B, but we haven't quite got it this time. Try again." Trying to book to Birmingham International from East Anglia and I keep getting this b/s on the return journey, and apparently there not being any option for open return. However, I can book from somewhere I'm not. What the heck is going on? Don't ask me to email you. Just sort your stupid tech issues.
1 ★There are several bugs in the app: in both places where I could potentially see journey details I get an error. The bugs started 4 months ago and I've reported with screenshots, details to recreate, etc and it still hasn't been fixed. Seem to have no regard for customer experience.
1 ★abysmal customer service, after I recently booked the wrong return journey I thought it would be simple enough to amend it, changed the date and was asked to pay again then refund the original date ok easier enough. then they ask for the original tickets to be sent off to them to process a refund I couldn't access the original tickets as I didn't print them out in the first place when I tried to after customer service said to try again all I got was invalid. customer service is abysmal.
1 ★This app is so frustrating, on train strikes they show you the next days tickets so you then accidentally buy the wrong date tickets and the you can't refund them! When you want to change the date and time of your ticket it cost £1 (or more! It cost me from £2.5 to £5 to just change the damn date )and then if you pick a cheaper ticket and then change it again they charge you more because the 2nd tickets was cheaper and if doesn't go off the 1st tickets price what was more expensive!!!!
