Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★I love it when it stays connected and allows me to make calls using just my voice. However, lately, it will randomly disconnect, and I check connection with my phone, and nothing is wrong. So, I have to manually disconnect and reconnect my phone for it to come back up. Annoying. Also I can no longer use voice command to call people. It will go through all the prompts say it is going to do it...then nothing happens. Really annoying.
1 ★I loved this app before the update. Since update I do not get verbal directions far enough in advance to switch lanes and make the correct turn. I can no longer see the directions on my phone as I used to. This is very frustrating. The map part no longer is as detailed so knowing how many stop lights or streets to pass before turning or getting on highway. I travel for work, this has caused me to be late for appointments. I reverted to original app and it would not connect.
4 ★Overall, I am happy with Android auto. For some reason it has lately decided not to understand some of my words, like when I say "text hubby," it almost always hears "texts hubby" and then returns to the map. That is super annoying, and I hope it is fixed soon. I wish that it would automatically start up, also. Again, overall it is great!
5 ★Great way to access my phone apps while driving. A really cool feature is that Google Maps runs even when you're not navigating, so you can see a map as you drive. Great replacement for a vehicle's built-in navigation system! The only feature that I dislike is that the last used music app begins playing automatically as soon as you connect your phone (I would prefer to start the music if I want to listen to music, rather than it starting automatically).
4 ★My only gripe so far is that I can not control the volume of the assistant. Listening to music at a moderate level leaves the assistant at barely a whisper and you can't hear what it's saying when reading a text for example. Turning the volume way up allows for hearing it almost perfectly (still a little quiet) but then the music comes back and makes my ear drums bleed.
2 ★It gets better, then it gets worse, then it gets better, and then it gets worse. I've got the Pixel 8 Pro. Integration is inconsistent at best and just shoddy at worst. Phone is constantly getting hot and data connection is constantly unstable as a result. It really, really shouldn't be this difficult. Music apps are frequently unresponsive and don't load media that I request or tap on from the display. Android Auto needs some serious optimisation.
3 ★I have been using this app since 2019, but recently it has had issues. When it connects to the vehicle it works for about five to ten minutes and starts disconnecting. To get it back I have to unplug the cord and replug it to get it reconnected - frustrating to say the less. At times I have used bluetooth instead of the app because of the problems. Once again frustrating because I lose the features of the app.
5 ★Easy to activate on newer cars and the features are now well integrated. When I first stated using it you couldn't use maps on the phone when Auto was active. Problematic when you can't remember the place you searched for and it's not showing up in the Auto search. Little bugs like that tend to be worked and I haven't found an issue lately.
4 ★The service itself is great. But ever since they changed the software to auto disconnect based on the quality of your cable it's basically become unusable. I've gone through 5 cables none of which are any better than the last. Back to Bluetooth music and holding phone for directions until they can make it more universally compatible with USB cords I guess.
3 ★Works most of the time. Spontaneously disconnects and fails to find car about once/month for a few days. Restarting phone and car several times, unpairing and re-pairing phone, plugging in using USB rather than wireless, etc. all fail. Phone gets stuck on "loading Android auto.". Each time this has happened, it starts working again a few days later. When it does connect, it works pretty well. Texts show up intermittently, but Waze and Spotify work fine.
3 ★This app was awesome...until last week, when it just stopped connecting. It is imperative I have the GPS portion available, and now, my phone's Google maps will not project onto my Android Auto screen. I haven't changed anything; it just stopped working. I get a message reading something to the effect of "unable to connect, please use a compatible device"... I have a 2018 Chevy Silverado and use a Pixel 7. Again, first issue last week and I've used A.A. successfully for almost 3 yrs.
4 ★For the most part, this app works well. When it doesn't work it's a royal pain in the..... Because when it doesn't work I'm already driving and then I have to fiddle faddle with the phone. Not good since I'm too focused on my music and not enough on the road. Also, some music apps work better than others, namely, Amazon and Pandora, work the best. Sirius XM takes some coaxing to work. Waze app works well and is quite useful when the traffic slows down. There are other functions I haven't used.
