Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Ads, much? I really want to support the CBC, especially given the whackos protesting over how it's hiding the truth and whatever nut job right wingers are saying these days. But 4 ads to watch a single news clip? Really? I put up with a less than optimal interface, and a number of other issues, but the experience has prompted me to waste approximately 367% of the time it would have taken to watch the ads. At least give us the option to skip past them after 5 seconds
5 ★Note to politicians and bureaucrats: Please eliminate advertising on all CBC platforms as recommended by recent studies. This is a nice app, much better than other news apps I've used.
5 ★Excellent news 👏, I would recommend CBC News to anyone interested in serious news flashes. Well done, CBC, and please continue with the good work.
2 ★Can not temporarily save articles for offline reading. Need to be connected to the Internet at all times to go from article to article.
2 ★I'd like to be able to block certain sections. Like sports or entertainment. Don't want them in my feed. If I want to view a story about Taylor Swift or the NFL I'll look it up. Otherwise, I don't care.
2 ★Some items don't load in dark mode or don't load at all (usually special feature stories). Also videos have up to four slow-loading ads, so it can take longer to watch the ads than it does to watch the video clip.
5 ★CBC News is the only Canadian news station that I find informative, interesting, accurate, and up-to-date. However, I find it very difficult to get it on my Google and Roku TV now. I used to! I miss listening to my CBC station so very much. My parents always had the big kitchen radio tuned onto CBC all day and every day. We grew up with it. A little help would go a long way! Eastlink can't! It feels like losing part of your culture. 😪
4 ★I read this each morning, including local news for 2 regions of Canada. It's good except for a couple of things: It seems they don't have any staff on weekends because Monday has practically nothing, and I don't watch videos because CBC insist on at least 30 seconds of ads first.
1 ★Issues with CBC News: 1. SIXTY SECONDS of ads for a publicly financed media corporation just to watch a 10 second video? I can tell you I never have and never will watch any videos. In 60 seconds I can find it somewhere else ad free. 2. Detail - far too many news stories are severely lacking in appropriate detail, making me question the qualifications of your journalists and editors. 3. I can watch DW News WITHOUT A SINGLE AD and with way better detailed journalism.
1 ★Considering it won't download it kinda sucks. Now 2023. App crashes. And by the way, why?? when New York Times and Washington Post don't have ads anywhere in their audio or visual media, do I -- as a PAID CBC-Gem subscriber -- have to to sit through multiple car commercials on CBC? It's not enough that you got my money, you want to torture me too?
4 ★Been using the app for years now. I really like it. Gives me my national, international and regional news. If I want more local news I just use my local sources. Nice not having to sift through all sorts of other stuff to get to what I want. Appreciate not having to deal with personal opinions or personal biases to get to the facts.
3 ★Informative but the grammar amd spelling errors (wrong word used such as there instead of their, or just spelled incorrectly), lack of proof-reading (don't you have spell/grammar checker?), sentemces that have beem partially or mis-edited and left not making sense - this all drives me crazy! You guys are supposedly journalists, writers! Set an example for the next gen of writers and at least have good grammar, correct spelling and sentemce structure. These stupid mistakes take away from content
